The contact owns a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact discovered that the plastic piece in the turn signal lever snapped inside. Currently, the headlights, turn signals, and high beams do not work. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 99v305001 (visibility:windshield wiper/washer:switch/wiring). The current and failure mileages were 144,000.
2000 gallant headlight wires overheat causing to burn out wire. Possible fire hazard (did not happen to us), however headlight wires overheated on both headlights causes them to fuse and stop working.

Last year, the passenger side headlight experienced the same failure. The mechanic removed the socket, but did not state what caused the failure. The failure mileage was 93,000 and current mileage was 105,000.
While traveling durning rain and without any indication windshield wipers /high beams/parking lights, and fog lamps failed. Dealer has bee notifed. Please provide further information.
When the left turn signal is turned on sometimes the headlights automatically go off. However, when turning turn signal switch off headlights come on.
