Brake problems with 2001 Mitsubishi Galant se. Vehicle in for warranty repairs two times for strong steering wheel vibration and shimmy when braking. Both times, excessive warping and uneven wear found on rotars and brake pads. Vehicle has only 32000 miles, and is not driven in stop/go traffic. Repair shop machined rotars, but unable or unwilling to determine cause of constant uneven wear on rotars and brake pads. Mitsubishi contacted 1/5/04 for further review / consideration. Vehicle warranty expires in one month.
