Tail Light problem #1

The contact owns a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. The contact attempted to replace the tail light assembly according to the owner's manual. He noticed that the manual provided incomplete and inaccurate information on how to replace the tail light assembly. He notified the manufacturer and they stated that he needed to take his vehicle to the dealer to have the bulb replaced. There had been no failure to date. The current mileage was 287.

Exterior Lighting problem #2

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. The contact indicated that the service engine light illuminated. The contact notified the dealer several times and was told that the part was on back order with no confirmation as to when the vehicle would be repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number:14v562000 (engine and engine cooling) and stated that the parts were not available for months. The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts would become available. The contact was not notified but was also included in NHTSA campaign id number: 12e012000 (exterior lighting). The manufacturer was also contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. The contact was continuing to experience the failure with the service engine light illuminated. Dyd.

These headlamps were mistakenly shipped to dealers as a service part without first disabling the adjustment feature. Safety risk without the horizontal adjustment mechanism disabled, the headlight can be adjusted to either reduce the driver’s visibility or blind oncoming traffic. Both conditions increase the risk of a crash and can occur without prior warning. Remedy the dealership will inspect your vehicle to determine if the horizontal adjustment mechanism on your headlamps has been disabled. If necessary, the dealer will repair your headlamps by sealing and disabling the horizontal adjustment mechanism, free of charge so basicly I would like to know where I can get this fixed and get a free pair of headlight for driving my car for so long without being notified. The only reason I found out was because I was trying to put in a new radio in my car and the recall notice came up.
