One problem related to brake antilock wheel speed sensor has been reported for the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Abs light came on. . . Took to firestone since it was closest to college. . . . They replaced my front brakes. . . . A few weeks later the light came back on and would do this frequently so I took it back to firestone and they informed me that the diagnostic was the left front speed sensor was defective. . . . I called Mitsubishi and spoke to several customer service personnel and was told there was nothing they could or would do. . . . I asked if there were other complaints about this part since it was only the left side that went bad not both and they said they did not have that information. . . . I am not happy. . . The repair is over $500 and my concern is driving on wet roads and the brakes failing. Status update 07/31/14.
