I received a recall notice for the drive belt, however, the dealer stated that the parts are on back order. I explained that the car is making a noise and I am concerned about the safety of driving the car. Their response is that I should bring the car in to get looked at. This now involves me having to take time off from work so that I can take it there which is about 40 minutes from my home. If it is the drive belt, there is nothing they can do anyway. I feel that it is negligent and a lack of consideration for the safety of the people driving the cars to have a recall and then have parts on back order. The manufacturer knows there is going to be a recall long before they announce it and send out notices. I have tried calling Mitsubishi customer service at 888-648-7820 and have been on hold for 20 minutes and still no one has picked up.
Seal for crankshaft pulley wears a ring the the pulley causing the pulley to become loose and leak oil.
