I was working on my 2015 Mitsubishi this weekend when I noticed how bad the rear subframe is rusted away. It actually has a crack along it from rusting. I do know there was a recall on the from crossmember for the same exact reason. If that were to break it could be fatal on a highway. I am currently trying to figure out what to do now since it is very unsafe.
When you go to you press on the gas it starts to stall out. This started 24 hours after I drive off from used car lot. And upon further review, it did have a recall and they said they fixed it. However it's doing exactly what the recall states. Its dangerous and I have been close to getting hit because the car stalls out.
Cvt transmission; vehicle has 45k miles, no recall was recorded for my VIN but I clearly experience the stated symptoms of the communication loss between the transmission. When accelerating from a stop there is a brief "hesitation " failure to move. When highway driving, attempting to accelerate to pass there is also "hesitation ". My last concern unmentioned by the manufacturer is the constant over-heating of the cvt transmission. In many forums around the world it's a constant issue, the consumer is forced to repair with aftermarket add on transmission coolers, fluid changes, etc. Most highways around my home require 70mph speed limits, I travel 50 miles for work each day, the over-heating has cost me time and money and local dealerships refuse to consider the work warranty. It's a factory defect in design and should be corrected via manufacturer responsibility.
There seems to be an issue with the bluetooth connection with the car and any cell phone I try to have connected with the car. Mitsubishi told me it was the cell phones fault not the car. So I went and bought an iphone 6s and got rid of my galaxy s5. To try and fix the problem but still the phone refuses to stay connected to the car. This creates a huge issue with talking and talking on the phone while driving. Some calls are extremely important I cannot simply stop the conversation due to the connection lost while driving. This causes a huge issue if you know what I mean. Traveling at speed and having to worry about keeping both hands on the wheel or get a ticket like in some states is a dilemma I face daily.
I didn't think nothing of it until it happened every single time I tried to talk with my bluetooth on. Every single time that I have my iphone 6s plus connected to my bluetooth on my 15 Lancer, it always disconnects and then reconnects in a few seconds or right under a minute. At first I thought it might have been where I didn't have good service, but then it started happening when I was in town with perfect service! something has to be done about this because like the last person's complaint about this, I cannot afford to lose important phone calls and all of my calls are important business calls! I hope others make enough complaints about this so that the manufacturer can do something to fix the problem!.
