The contact owns a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, he began to hear a banging noise from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. Upon further inspection, he noticed that part of the frame was fractured. The contact reattached the frame and took the vehicle to an independent mechanic to repair the failure. After diagnosis, he was advised that the entire frame exhibited severe rust, fracturing and that the vehicle was no longer able to be driven. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure and current mileage was 143,000.
