Power Steering Fluid problems of the 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the power steering would suddenly malfunction and the steering wheel would become very difficult to turn. While inspecting the vehicle the contact discovered that power steering fluid was leaking from the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informedthat the VIN was not included in the NHTSA campaign number 14v366000 (steering). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 58,000. Jft.
