I picked up my vehicle from having a recall service done. But when I was unloading the rental car my car began to roll due to ebrake recall that has not been properly addressed. Have warning lights indicating airbag service and that passenger airbag is off when it is occupied. Airbags should never fail, nor should brakes. No matter miles or salt on road. If salt corodes a certain part than it must be an aloy that will not corrode. Also brake lines should not ever rust they too should be coated with epoxy or alloy metals that are impervious to salt. . .
Not reporting an incident but this vehicle has a dash light that says to "service airbags" shouldn't this be a safety recall as I don't know what's wrong with them.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet traverse. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v334000 (air bags) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I rear-ended a car after they came to a complete stop at a green light on a road with a 50mph speed limit. I attempted to stop but in the rain my car hydroplaned, and I hit them. Upon impact my seatbelt did not lock up and my airbags didn't deploy despite the fact that I was going at least 20mph. I ended up hitting the steering wheel pretty hard and still have pain, spasms, and soreness.
Airbag service required light is staying on with no accidents or reason for deployment. The vehicle is stationary and the warning stays on, also the passenger seatbelt light is staying on.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v383000 (air bags). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair as the recall notice was received over a year ago. The dealer (ourisman Mitsubishi, 4404 branch Ave #100, marlow heights, MD 20748) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I had a accident with my 3 children in the car with me. I was driving on a 6 lane highway & hit a car that was in the middle lane as it came to a complete stop for no apparent reason other than reaching for something in the floorboard. The damage was to the front end of my Outlander, needing to replace the bumper, hood, lights, a/c condenser & more. None of the 7 airbags in my car were deployed & none of the seatbelts locked. I was told from a local Mitsubishi dealer that if there was an issue, there would be a code in the computer, so therefore they say there is nothing wrong with my Outlander or the safety restraint system.
While driving the fcm, (front crash mitigation), and acc, (adapter cruise control), lights came on with message "service required". I took the car to the dealer they could find nothing wrong. A month later they came on again, the dealer could find nothing wrong. The next time the lights came on it was "airbag service required". I took the car to the dealer, they diagnosed the ecu going bad. Now, when a light comes on, which is often, I don't have any idea if something is really not working. They told me it would be a week to get the part, today they told me the part is on back order. I am not happy about having this problem with a six month old car. I also find it odd that a part for a brand new car is on backorder.
