My car has a major problem with acceleration hesitation in transmisson that has almost caused several accidents. Also whenever I ride down the road and hit the minute bump my steering jerk really bad and it happens on both sides causing me to jerk steering wheel almost run off the road several times.
I went to my dealer with the recall letter. They sprayed it not replace it. Not like the letter said to do. I am afraid for my safety.
The contact owns a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would turn at 360 degrees in either direction, with an abnormal sound coming from the steering wheel. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an unknown dealer and was informed that they were unaware of such a failure before and offered no assistance. Upon taking another vehicle to an independent mechanic, the contact described her issue with the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander and was informed by the mechanic that from her description of the failure the vehicle might have a defective clock spring in her steering wheel. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
When the car hits pumps which are too deep, the steering moves. The vehicle also shifts sometimes when it hits small pumps. I feel I do not have control over the car when such happens. I have driven other cars before like my brother's highlander but it does not do so. It is so weird even though the mechanic from where I financed says it is because it is an electronic steering. It feels so unsafe and I dread to drive when it is icy.
