The contact owns a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would not immediately stop, causing the stopping distance to become extended. The vehicle was towed to the dealer abeloff kia located at 1169 n 9th st, stroudsburg, PA 18360 who diagnosed that the brake caliper was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure was remedy. Additionally, while turning a loud sound was coming from both the front and the rear axles. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000. The VIN was invalid.
Parking brake is nonfunctional due to parts of brake caliper related to parking brake becoming stuck in place, and preventing the parking brake from engaging.
My rear drivers side brake caliper froze last year and currently my rear https://hoodsite. Com/passenger brake caliper is frozen. The other day I was driving and I noticed a constant scraping sound, I was able to jack up the car and spin the tire and confirm that the brake is making contact with the rotor.
2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport was part of NHTSA recall no. : 18v-070 in early 2018. Due to unavailable parts, the recall on rear brake issue and calipers was performed in August 2018. Now 8 months later, when going to get a nail removed from a tire at tire dealer, their tech noticed a new rubbing sound in rear passanger side of vehicle. After further inspection, the caliper that was replaced in August is now seized again.
My vehicle with VIN # [xxx] has 2 open recall of which could be very serious involving caliper braking, and a corrosion of ball joint wiper. I have been calling planet Mitsubishi and they still do not have the parts to fix the issue. Please help me find a way to see what is happening that these people cant have the issue resolved.
