general problems of the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander

The backup camera view is not shown on the infotainment system. The screen goes blank. Checking the hidden menu, the backup camera view is available. This impacts reverse packing and hence safety of the pedestrians and passengers.

I have 2015 Outlander sport has 100k miles on it and I had the transmission replaced at 62000 miles at the dealership but now I have a hesitation engine when go over 70k per hour on the highway and airbag service sign on for no reason and the fog light with the led light off with no reason too.

Transmission catastrophically failed while I was driving on the highway. The transmission fluid pressure sensor error code turned on. The transmission seemed to have a delay when accelerating and caused the vehicle to shake, shudder, and jerk in and out of gear. The car cannot get above 10mph before the issue is present. A trusted and certified transmission specialist inspected the transmission and determined that it was dead and the initial failure led to other components to fail. Since there was a delay with the acceleration, it caused the car to accelerate a moment after I let off the gas pedal to apply brakes to avoid a potential collision with another vehicle. This seems to be so common of a failure it is harder to find another person who owns or drives this model that haven’t experienced the same exact problem. There is even a pending class action lawsuit in California against the manufacturer for allegedly selling their vehicles with the defective parts while knowing well the safety risk associated with the transmission.

Transmission is not shifting/working.

Transmission fail less than 75,000 miles. Car was in motion.

Rotars prematurely severely rusted. May be related to the fact that no protection was used for the car against rock salt as indicated in latest safety recall, which only mentioned the front cross members. If protection was not in place this would affect any area of the car that could carrode or rust where exposed.

Service engine light, slow emissions leak. It was at the gas cap. Rust around filler tube. Needed to remove rust so gas cap makes good deal. Slow accelerate with transmission and noise from lower control arm.

About two months ago my vehicle started acting up on and off. When ever my a/c is on and I come to a complete stop like a red light or stop signs my truck gets to jerking, idling up and majority of the time it shuts off. It will started back up after a few minutes but I will have to turn everything off like head lights, emergency flashes. Also if I am sitting in the sitting in my truck with the air running it jerks and tries to cut off, unless I turn of the ac compressor, just like if I come to a red light or stop sign, as long as I turn off the ac compressor my truck want cut off. Now, it was a couple of times I was making a turn and coming off a gas station lot and it just off.

When the back windows are down there is a horrible vibration noise. It does not go away until the windows are up all the way. It's only with the back windows and it's very annoying and distracting. It happens every time the back windows are down, even just one window down in the rear causes this to happen. I'm surprised it hasn't caused an accident because it's so very distracting!!!! vehicle needs to be moving.

Transmission hesitates while driving, then it jumps. When it jumps it surges. We thought it was the transmission. Our son said it maybe the relay switch to do with the cvt engine. It is setting in th driveway .

Just bought my car 10 days ago with 3 miles on it. Tonight was the second time in have had a problem with accelerating after coming to a stop. Today really scared me because my baby was with me. Car runs fine, idles fine, showed no drop in remember at any time. After starting from a complete stop the car began to move and wouldn't move anymore until I took my foot of the gas and re applied the gas, it had a bit of hesitation for a split second and went like it never happened. Drove like my new car the rest of the way home both times after this has happened. Have had no other signs of an issue with acceleratingredients but surely a major concern of getting into an accident with this issue. I have called the dealer and will be going into the service department tomorrow, but after reading that I am not the only one with this issue and my car has less than 300 miles on it I am going to speak to the dealership tomorrow with options of trading it.

Hear stick pops out of fear with slightest touch while driving. Transmission drops to lower fear while driving. Have to pull over and restart car to get it to work properly. Engine has 15,693 miles, mechanic says a rod is knocking and shouldn't be running the fan to cool as much as it does. All this has multiple occurances. Mitsubishi has had the car twice but found nothing wrong.

During acceleration, an at low speed, a stumble our lack or acceleration is experiencing some issues an it happens intermittently.

Vehicle just stalled/stop while driving.

When I took my car to the mission mitsubusi in san antonio TX. In the glove box of the car was a wedding ring and it was stolen while they did the oil change. I was told by management that since it was in the car, they were not responsible. I asked do the your people always go into the glove box? he said no, but they were not responsible. I reported it to the police and nothing happen. I will never buy another car from these thieves.
