The contact owns a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and engaging the wipers, the wipers were operating slowly. The contact stated she received recall notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v103000 (visibility) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for recall repair. However, the dealer only replaced the rod of the wiper link instead or replacing both the rod of the wiper link and the wiper motor crank arm, free of charge, per the recall remedy notes. The contact stated that the wipers would stop working while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the entire windshield wiper arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. However, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
