Vehicle Speed Control problem #1

On the freeway transmission failure service light came on and the cars acceleration geared, had to immediately pull over on the side of the freeway, restarted the car with emergency lights to get out of the freeway. Vehicle would not accelerate much and the rpm was switching fast up and down. Check engine light came on the next day and the diagnosis read catalytic converter needs replacement. Car does not accelerate on hills, its shifts and tugs on a regular road.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #2

Transmission light frequently comes on, car stalls/sluggish to respond. Has occurred while driving or at rest. No change despite several transmission servicing/towing expenses. Per online research, others experiencing same issues. Often resolves temporarily by turning off engine and restarting car. Recalls issued for other Mitsubishi models, but not for this car. Needs to be addressed to prevent injury or loss of life.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #3

On the Outlanders speed control sensor on the back hubs the lil ears that hold the sensor in place have broken off both sides of my car there's is no way to replace them makeing my car shift different drive funny and it's just about made me wreck a few times and cause when they pop out the car downshift and the engine reves at 9000 rpm and now I have a tick in my engine but I have had to try and glueing the sensors back into place this is a big problem with the Outlander I have plus the roads in wv are not the greast potholes are everywhere and when you hit one they pop out of place very ease.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #4

The car will no longer drive. It would throw itself forward uncontroably right before the transmission failed. Car has less than 50k mileage on it and was working normally previously.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #5

I purchase my 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander in December of 2016. I had my vehicle come to a complete while accelerating and in motion. This could of killed me and my family. My vehicle has had consistent acceleration and hesitating issues while accelerating and in motion. Something is wrong with the transmission or engine. There's a major problem with my vehicle not being able to accelerate normally and safely. My air bag light on my vehicle has not come on for over years. I am very concern that my airbag is defective and won't work if I get into a vehicle accident. I have took my vehicle to 2 different Mitsubishi auto dealerships to have the problem looked at and diagnosed, but Mitsubishi can't diagnose or determine what's causing the problem. There's a problem with my transmission and engine.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #6

On random when driving on several occasions my headlight will go out. Both at the same time. This morning while driving on the highway to work, the lights both just went completely out leaving me in the dark. I had to drive with my brights on for safety. The second problem in the acceleration, you can push the gas but it is has no power to go and hesitate.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #7

My vehicle does not accelerate at times and its an issue while driving. I want to avoid getting into an accident and I do not know if its an engine or transmission issue.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #8

I have a 2016 Mitsubishi outander 2wd. I noticed as I'm driving the rpm needle is jumping up and down. Also I'm losing power as I'm driving. Sometimes the rpm goes all the way to 4 before it shifts. I almost got hit in the back because it lost speed while going about 60mph and then it drop speed. I did some research and found out about the recall but for some reason theirs no recall based on my VIN#. I don't understand why. Its only 36,000 miles.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #9

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated when driving unknown speed, when the accelerator pedal failed to release. The contact stated she depressed the brake pedal but failed to stop causing to crash a parked vehicle. The contact stated no waning light was illumined before the failure. The air bags did not deploy a police report was filed. The contact did not sustained any injuries or seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed to interdependent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer has not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Dp.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #10

Anytime when I'm driving my vehicle I have to continuously release my foot off the gas pedal for it to attempt to shift into the next gear otherwise it continues to rev up the rpms. Also I parked my car turned it off and as I was getting out of the vehicle it the vehicle made a sound as it was trying to start but was struggling. Then it stopped. While driving the steering wheel shakes when braking.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #11

Ever sense I have purchased this vehicle it has had a noise in the front. It sounds as if it is coming from the control arm. When it started getting worse I called to tell the guy I bought it from and he said there was a lot of people thinking this, but it is just a noise from the bottom of the car. This only happens in reverse and it sounds like a popping noise coming from the bottom passenger tire. I will have this looked at hopefully on Thursday. Also, I have a smell of gas coming from the engine when it either idles or is driven for a long period of time. I will hopefully have this checked out as well. Also, when the car is turned off I smell antifreeze. . . Badly in the car and also outside of it near the grill. Also, the transmission drags when I try to accelerate or if it has been driving for a long period of time.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #12

The contact owns a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. While the vehicle was stopped at a red light, it independently surged forward without warning. The vehicle was able to be stopped by depressing the brake pedal. The contact mentioned that the vehicle failed to move. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the torque converter failed and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.
