Service Brakes problem #1

The rear braking system failed due to a sticking/seizing brake caliper. An independent inspection confirmed a severe thickness discrepancy: the outer pad was worn down to 3mm, while the inner pad remained at 7mm. This occurred at only 7,343 miles. I have the physical brake pads provided by the dealer; however, I have photographic proof that the dealer provided fraudulent, evenly worn pads upon vehicle pickup to tamper with evidence. Both the fraudulent pads and the original photos of the defective pads are available for inspection. The sticking caliper causes uneven braking force, increased stopping distances, and premature brake failure. This is a severe safety risk that could lead to a loss of vehicle control or a collision, especially under emergency braking conditions. Furthermore, the dealership's attempt to conceal this defect by swapping parts prevents proper safety documentation and potential recall actions. An independent service center (certified technician) confirmed the 3mm/7mm wear delta on March 19, 2026. The dealer (northstar Mitsubishi) also initially confirmed the defect and processed it as a $0. 00 warranty repair (invoice #6048308) before rescinding the coverage and demanding payment. The vehicle was inspected by the authorized dealer (northstar Mitsubishi) and an independent repair facility. I am currently requesting a formal inspection by Mitsubishi motors north America (mmna) corporate. There were no dashboard warning lamps. The primary symptom was an excessive amount of brake dust accumulating on the rear wheels compared to the front, and a noticeable physical thickness difference between the inner and outer brake pads. These symptoms were first observed around 7,000 miles during a routine inspection. The defect was confirmed by an independent technician's measurement of 3mm (outer) vs 7mm (inner).

Service Brakes problem #2

Each time for the last year and a half that I have taken my car in for service or just stopped in and showed them that my radio is saying overheated current, they would test it and say that they couldn't recreate the error despite me showing that it would not connect my phone to the car or charge. I also reported having a random warning that my car was unleveled when driving and they said the computer shows no errors. When I last took my car in for an oil change 1/30/26 I had a break check done because my brakes acted like they didn't want to stop and were making a sound. They told me that my breaks and rotors were find and probably needed to be washed. The sound is louder now so I went to schedule my oil change and make the reports again to find out that the company closed down and there is no dealer close to my location. I filed a cfpb complaint due to the Mitsubishi telling me there is nothing they can do.

Service Brakes problem #3

I am unsure of the proper name of the component with issues. There are several little issues but the main is, I believe it would be a software issue. . . Basically, on several different occasions (4) while driving at 60 mph and over, the vehicle suddenly stalled and shut off completely with no warning. The one incident which was the very first while I was driving less than 1 month ago. I was on a two lane road/freeway with another passenger in the back seat going somewhere between 60 and 65 mph. The car went completely black and everything shut down the entire vehicle, engine and all. I was in complete shock and end up scraping my front left rim on the curb I was next to, damaging the vehicle as a result. I am just recently out of my warranty and I do not have the funds to have it looked at just yet. I did inform the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from. I originally thought it was something maybe I had done to cause it. I also was completely unaware of any recalls on several of the year and model of my vehicle. When I looked up recalls on them, my vehicle has very similar issues to a lot of other cars like it that have already been recalled. I am upset because if I had known there were potential safety issues with these particular make and model car I would have not wanted to finance it, especially at the price point I have. It seems that several thousand were recalled a few months before I financed mine. Why wouldn’t I be notified that there could be potential safety issues when I was looking at the vehicle for purchase? now here we are and I don’t think it is a safe vehicle. I need to do something. . I am not sure I want to keep it honestly ! what can I do? please let me know at your earliest convenience. Service Brakes problem #4

The aeb and fcw turns on suddenly then seems like the car is shutting off while driving.

Service Brakes problem #5

“since April, I’ve had an issue with the caliper in my car, and as of today, October 16, victory Mitsubishi still hasn’t resolved it. I went back on July 4, and they told me they ordered the parts, but they’ve been on backorder since then. I’m still waiting, and my car’s brakes feel rough, plus the noise is really annoying. ”.

Service Brakes problem #6

After using the Outlander for little over 500 miles a warning sign of parking brake sensor failure occurs every time I stop at a red light. Error occurs for a flash second and is hard to capture when driving.

Service Brakes problem #7

We (driver and passenger) were pulling into a parking lot and going very slowly about to stop and get out of car. Suddenly and unexpectedly the car accelerated out of control and at an abnormal speed. The air bags deployed, smoke filled the cabin. After the police arrived and the car was towed, liberty mutual insurance company took title to the car. We were lucky to survive because the car ran into a cement wall from the sudden acceleration and went up into the trees and then backed down and hit the ground. There was a police report and the car was inspected by a manufacturer's representative. Earlier in the day there was a warning on the dashboard that said the vehicle needed maintenance. The "black box" of the car was analyzed by bosche CO. But, we would like an independent agency to review the black box of the car and get an explanation as to why this possibly happened to us. The car has many safety features but nothing aided us in this particular instance.

Service Brakes problem #8

The sensors will go off for a collision when no cars are around. The automatic emergency break will break when not close to any cars.
