Blind Spot Detection Problems of Mitsubishi Outlander

I was turning out of my neighborhood and as I accelerated to merge with traffic my car started jerking. My dashboard “d” symbol only started flashing on and off and then my transmission service required light came on, (just had it done 8/25 and it is 11/25) and the bsw service required light came on as well. As I continued down the street everytime I pressed on the gas pedal the car kept jerking backwards and forward.

Cameras fail to work with the camera button or when vehicle is in reverse which causes the sensors not to work either. Therefore you cannot see if you are too close to something and the sensors dont go off to notify you that you are close too close to an object. Huge safety concerns.

My car started with remote starter app x2. I went out to the car and it would not start. Indicator light said to put fob near start button. Still didn't start. Jump started and had multiple malfunction lights on. Replaced batter with brand new battery. Followed all instructions. Forward collision and blinds pot warning malfunction errors persist and those features will not work. Research shows this can can severe vehicle malfunction and cause an accident. Dealer can't look at it for 8 weeks.

Got in my car to go to work and blind spot service required light came on.

The software system in regard to the bsw and fcm. The car tried to put itself in reverse while we were driving. Yes, the problem has been reproduced on the computer only. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being looked at now. The transmission service light came on, the fcm temporarily not available, came on, and the bsw light came on.

Failure of driver side exterior mirror. 3 years after purchase of vehicle the mirror would no longer move in and out. Dealer replaced with oem quality mirror July 2021. 2 years later (August 2023)mirror now has the exact same malfunction/defect. Mitsubishi is unable to tell me why the failure happened in the first place or why it has again happened. Mitsubishi refuses to take any action to fully rectify this issue. They only suggest again replacing the mirror. As the mirror is part of a side vehicle warning system the malfunction creates the possibility of a side collision with another vehicle. 4wd error. You can feel a small kick from the transmission before the error occurs.

Vehicle has had ev system service required, bsw service required, and asc service required warning lights come on every few days since September. When these come on multiple safety features of the vehicle are immediately disabled. The dealer has been unable to fix the issue after five visits including one where they had the vehicle for 65 days. Per the manu: ev system service required: "one or more failure is occurring in the plug-in hybrid ev system. Have your vehicle inspected by a certified Mitsubishi ev dealer" asc system service required "there is a fault in the active stability control. Contact a certified Mitsubishi ev dealer to have the system checked" bsw service required "the blind spot warning (bsw) does not operate normally because there there are some malfunctions in the sensor or the system. Immediately have your vehicle inspected at a certified Mitsubishi ev dealer" when the warning display appears the bsw will be deactivated.
