I had a bent right control arm, this was replaced in the dealership with out of pocket payment on February 12th 2024, same issue above reoccurred and the dealership is asking for the same sum to be paid out of pocket. Mitsubishi motors customer complain refused to assist that I had an accident with the car. I believe this is a defect because, I never had any accident, as of now, the right control arm got broke on the street without any impact… kindly look into this. Thank you.
There is very loud squealing noise coming from front tires when backing and driving forward. It gets extremely loud when turn the wheel in motion. Dealership claimed they couldn't fix it.
My left front passenger wheel low tire warning keeps going on and off saying the tire has low air. I have been to the cherry hill Mitsubishi dealer had it check they stated the tire was fine. I am putting air in this one tire every three to four days. Now the air will stay in the tire for 3 to 4 days then it goes back to saying low air pressure. If the dealership tells me the tire is fine nothing is wrong clearly something is wrong with this one tire.
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander under 34000 miles. Front wheel bearings gave out. Mitsubishi services stated they are defective and Nissan parts. They replaced them under warranty. All 4 manufacture tires are worn out at 34000 miles. Had another computer issue. Abs warning came on while driving. Took took Mitsubishi service, they stated a module had to be exchanged. Again car is fairly new. Under 34000 miles.
On approximately the 12th of may 2023 I was driving home, and while I was driving the tierod from the passenger side came loose and caused me to lose control and this was due to the crossmember being rusty as per the recall, description.

Nothing but issues with the safety of this vehicle since I purchased it. Hood flutters while driving. Backup camera stops working. Audio stops working. Front end collision sensors constantly say they're blocked and can't function even when the car is clean amd its sunny outside. The dealership says they can't ever reproduce any of the issues when I take it in. They did replace the hood but it still seems to flutter a bit when driving above 50 mph. All 4 tires have severe edgewear and the vehicle doesn't even have 17000 miles on it. I have had nothing but issue after issue with this vehicle since purchasing it in may of 2022.
I can not express how disappointed I am with this car. You cannot use the review camera as the screen goes black or freezes. You cannot put the visor down as you will not be able to see out the windshield. If you go to push the gas the car stutters and sometimes shuts off completely. I bought my car brand new with 200 miles on it and after 6 months of driving it they told me my tires needed to be replaced because they were dangerous. After taking it into the dealership several times I was told that's just how the car is. The first chance I get I am trading this car and getting something else, and I will never purchase from them again. They have no pride in their cars at all and it will end up getting someone killed.
I purchased this vehicle in March, 2022. As of January 23, 2023, this vehicle has 15,700 miles. I first noticed a problem approximately four months ago. Whenever I go over a dirt road, it feels like the back end of my vehicle is flailing out of control, as if there is nothing to hold it to the road. Because I very rarely travel a dirt road, I just figured this is how this vehicle handles, and I will just need to get used to it. Then I noticed when I would hit certain bumps or uneven spots in the road, I would rock back and forth. Again, just figured it was something I would have to get used to. I had already noticed that it hydroplaned worse than any vehicle I had ever driven, but blamed it on the type of tire which it had, and became hyper aware of any water on the roads. Even the tiniest puddle. Then winter arrived!!!! I am absolutely terrified of this vehicle on any kind of snow covered road, even if the road is barely dusted with snow. I constantly feel like I am going out of control. Whenever I have to cross a bridge in freezing weather, it literally feels as if I am actually sliding on ice the entire way across, no matter how short the bridge is. Driving in snow almost feels like you are trying to drive with a flat tire. You can not drive this car over 40mph on any road condition other than dry. In every instance I have mentioned, I feel like I have control over the steering and front tires, but nothing at all behind the front seats. Just recently, on January 22,2022, I noticed my one back tire is completely bald, and the other rear tire is not much better. I had never really looked at the tires, because, why would I on a nine months old vehicle with 15,000 miles?? I immediately, the next day took it to my Mitsubishi dealer. We were there for an hour and a half. They could find nothing. I was shocked when I looked closer at my paper work after getting home. It stated right on there that excessive wear on the rr tire has been a common issue on these vehicles.
This 2017 Outlander has had issues with the tire rod multiple times. It needed to be fixed approx every three months and the tires needed constant changing as well. This vehicle had a timing chain issue which left me stranded in the middle of the high way. The power stopped, the car started to jerk back and forth and it would power off. We had to get this car towed to three seperate mechanics as no one would work on a Mitsubishi and I was told it was the timing chain with possible engine damage. Prio to all of this happening the radio and electrical system would freeze or automatically turn off and on, it never resolved and blue tooth was rarely able to be used.

The contact owns a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated while attempting to drive from a complete stop, the front passenger’s side tire began to spin but the front driver’s side did not engage, which resulted in a grinding sound coming from the driver’s side wheel well. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing a bearing replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

My vehicle has had over 10 recalls but Mitsubishi has refused to properly fix any of the problems. I will attach a photo of the control arms and certain parts and recalls they cleared, and sent me on my way with. Now there is full suspension damage. Tire damage. And an entire list of other recalls that were never fixed by Mitsubishi. Also airbag light, incorrect gas level. Windshield fluid leaking, and more. My front tire is about to fly off. There are problems with the struts. And no mechanic wants to touch it due to a strut recall and can’t even buy struts anywhere for my car. They have been taken off the market completely. I have a 8 year old child in this car. And both of our lives at risk. I have brought it to several mechanics and they are in shock at the damage and how we have survived. I have had to pay with my own money for certain repairs because Mitsubishi said “everything looks fine” and sent me on my way. And now refuse to open a claim and pay it back. Or fix all the damage it has caused since the first control arm problem. I can get receipts and invoices together. But honestly the entire car is a huge liability and needs an immediate solution!.

When driving in the rain the car hydroplaned on me on 5 separate occasions. It happened to me when at a mild turn at free way speeds and sometimes when strong winds hit the vehicle. Loss of tractions is felt and the car wanders into a different lane. Breaking performance was affected as well. The stock tires that came with the car perform poorly in the rain when driving at freeway speeds. Over all the car is great and the tires should be inspected. I learned that I was not the only one who experienced this and decided to contact NHTSA.

8 recalls on brakes. Electrical. Wheels. Collision. Stability. Emergency braking. Antilock brakes. Hydraulics.
Front crossmember rusted through causing the vehicle to lose control. Through luck/skill managed to get to the side of the road without incident but basically the core support that holds the wheels experienced rust rot. This seems to be a big problem with many Mitsubishi cars from 2003-2013 but for some reason my vehicle was excluded from this recall.

On a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander with 51,000 miles. My toyo a24 tires dot number n300 started cupping. Regular tire rotations were completed. I talked to the Mitsubishi technician that replaced my tires due to the fact they'll fail state inspection and he believes it's a manufacturing defect. Vehicle was stationary at time of discovery. Car had a thumping noise while going to dealership for emergency maintenance on interstate and local roads.

My 2014, Mitsubishi Outlander sport, feels like it's wobbling and I hear a clunking noise then I press on my brakes, the noise gets louder when it slows down. I had it inspected and they changed two of the rotors in August, so I thought that would help, but it didn't it still doing the same thing. I checked my VIN # on the Mitsubishi website and it states there are no recalls for my car. It's beginning to get a bit scary!.

Noise coming from front right wheel has been change wheel bearing hub 2 times sound like metal with metal robing and we find out all of this car even the 2017 are doing the same we are afraid will be a sect you issue and can be an accident been in the wheel the noise make the noise when is in motion we have take it to dealer the corp do not now how to fixe or what is happening.
When the car hits pumps which are too deep, the steering moves. The vehicle also shifts sometimes when it hits small pumps. I feel I do not have control over the car when such happens. I have driven other cars before like my brother's highlander but it does not do so. It is so weird even though the mechanic from where I financed says it is because it is an electronic steering. It feels so unsafe and I dread to drive when it is icy.
Tpms of front left tire fell inside, tire suddenly became flat. Incident happened on 695 hwy, exit 12a. All tires of this car are with defected tpms.

Mitsubishi has extended the warranty on this vehicles front coil springs to 120,000 miles or 9 years (whichever comes first). My front coil springs went bad at 120,500 and Mitsubishi refuses to make the necessary repair to their defective parts. The front coil springs, according to Mitsubishi have a "potential" to "corrode from prolonged exposure to anti-freezing agents (such as calcium chloride) used in cold weather areas to clear ice and snow from roadways". I do live in ohio and we have a lot of snow here, but upon searching online I have found that many others who do not live or travel to areas where roads need to be salted (e. G. Texas, florida) have also had the same problem. Also, if alternative front coil springs do not have the potential to corrode under these conditions, should Mitsubishi not be liable for providing customers with these satisfactory parts regardless of mileage? it seems to be universal and it is my belief that Mitsubishi put out a vehicle with a defective part that they are now refusing to recall. Their negligence in this matter is not fair to consumers who pay for quality vehicles with quality parts.
My tpms sensor came out and fallen into tire causing tire to loose all air. . . Then after 2 more month the other tpms sensor came out again (6/18/2014).
When I bought my car some time last year everything seemed fine but after a few months things started to go wrong on the car. It began with me constantly having to get the oil changed the the tires were bad the car started making noises that I couldn't explain and the tires in the tires in the back were constantly busting. The engine is now going bad and I have bought at least 10 sets of tires for the back in this year alone. I dont have the money to keep putting in this car and continue to pay the lease off for it as well. Its getting absolutely ridiculous.

The contact owns a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that the passenger side rear tpms valve stem failed and caused the tire to deflate. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was determined that the tpms sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The VIN was unavailable.
In Dec 2012 the tire sensor indicator showed one of the tires was in need of air. I went to fill it and the valve blew off and the tire deflated immediately. Had to put on the spare and have the sensor and valve replaced, $200. In may 2013 again the indicator showed a tire was low. I filled it and later that day I turned a corner and found it was totally flat and the tire was ruined. Again put on the spare and took it to tire warehouse (on a Sunday my dealer was not open). They informed me the piece of the sensor/valve was missing causing it to go flat very quickly. I had to purchase 2 new tires since that one was ruined. They also noticed that the same part that was missing from the flat tire, is also missing on the other front tire causing that to loose air also . We also checked the remaining rear tire and that same part was cracked and corroded and ready to also come off and cause another flat. I in turn had them replace each sensor with a regular valve. I contacted my dealer and they were told by Mitsubishi that due to the age of the car and milage there was nothing they could do. This in turn would cost me approximately $600 for the remaining 3 sensors to be replaced. Obviously the part is poor quality and corrodes easily. It is an extremly expensive part to replace with no alternatives when the life of the part is so short. The car is not even 4 years old. The way that Mitsubishi is handling this problem is unacceptable and I would never buy from them again because they do not stand behind their inferior parts.
The contact owns a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the vehicle began to shake violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and the contact was informed that snow was building in the rims, causing the failure. The rims were cleaned and the vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred each subsequent time that it would snow. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 5,400.

During a snow storm snow became packed into the rims and caused severe vibration in the tires. It happened again after the next snow storm. There have been 4 occasions of driving through snow and each time the car shakes badly. Took it to the dealer to complain and I was told there is nothing that can be done other than to stop and physically remove the snow or take it to a car wash.
Snowstorm conditions. Severe vibration of entire car driving over 40 mi/hr on highway. Stopped to see if snow/ice is trapped in rims or wheelwells. Nothing is visible to remove. Has happened 4 times during a snowstorm. When snow/ice melts problem corrects itself. People have suggested cleaning rims before leaving, but if you can't see anything, how can you clean it. Dealer has suggested taking the car to a carwash and spraying the rims with hot water, but this is not possible when driving on the highway to or from work. This not only seems extremely unsafe but I am afraid that there is damage being caused to the car because of the violent shaking. In my opinion, this should never happen to anyone driving on the highway. Not only is it a safety hazard to have the vibration, but it is a safety hazard to have to stop on the highway to check your rims during a snowstorm.
The contact owns a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that the tire pressure sensor would active due to corrosion in the valve stem. The corroded valve stem would fracture from the tire and caused the tires to go flat. The contact replaced the sensor numerous times. The dealer was notified and stated that they would replace the part, but the contact stated that the part was the cause of the failure and replacing it would not be a proper remedy. The manufacturer was also notified and stated that they would assist the contact while under warranty. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 5 and the current mileage was 33,000.
