I was driving on the freeway, at night, in the rain, and my windshield wipers stopped working. I tried every setting to no avail. I tried using the cleaning fluid (which usually triggers the wipers) and the fluid pumped, but the wipers didn't wipe. The rear wiper is still working. I pulled to the side of the road, and checked the fuses, and they are fine. I tried to manually move the wipers, and they moved freely.

I received an interim "important safety recall" letter in December 2016 regarding the wiper link ball joint , potential corrosion and separation causing windshield wipers to stop operating. The letter indicated that no parts were available for the repair and that I would be contacted when the remedy parts were available. Approximately 6 months later, in early June, I received a bright orange "urgent recall repairs" postcard from my dealership about the same issue. I called the dealership, michaud mitsibushi in danvers, MA, and requested an appointment for recall repairs to the wiper system. The service department informed me that no parts were available, and that the postcard was simple a "pre-notification". They had no idea when parts would be available. In the mean time, I'm driving a vehicle whose wipers could fail at any time.

The exterior rubber window moldings are corroded and melted which allows for the water to get into the door damaging the electrical wiring for the windows automatic operation. My vehicle isn't the only vehicle with this problem as I have seen that most of these cars have the same problem. I have tried to contact Mitsubishi to tell them about this problem but in puerto rico they told me this problem was because I wasn't using wax on them, I have seen much older cars, and this problem does not exist. It exists because of the poor quality of exterior window sill molding they chose to include in this car because, once again, it's not just mines, it's most of them.

Takata recall a day ago me and my wife was riding down the highway on a rainy day then the wipers stopped we was in the middle of a busy highway pouring down rain. We could not see anything at all we almost got into 4 accidents. Sitting on the side of the road the highway safety came and helped us off the highway. I call the company they are saying they have no way to fix this problem also we had a baby in the car this would have been our lives gone.

Received a recall for manufacturer recall numbersr-16-009 NHTSA recall number16v791 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summary in the event that water drops down through the back side of the front deck garnish (the body piece between the hood and windshield), the front wiper link ball joint may experience excessive moisture and corrode. If this occurs, the resin case of the ball joint will wear prematurely due to the ball joint corrosion and the wiper link may ultimately separate causing the windshield wipers to stop operating. I've been in contact with my local dealer and nothing has been resolved 6 months later I keep being told the parts haven't come in yet. I also received a for a corrosion issue on the lower control arm in August of 2016 same as my other recall no answers for that many months later.
