I have had (2) occasions when I applied my brakes hard suddenly and lost control of my vehicle because it continued to slide. I took it in to have it inspected and the service technician did confirm that my vehicle does exactly what I stated and he informed me that I have abs brakes on the rear and not on the front and therefore a sudden, forceful stop will cause my front wheels to lock up. This has been stated in writing on the service sheet. Therefore, when the front wheels lock up, the vehicle slides and I lose control. I called Mitsubishi and they said that it is normal for the brakes to function this way and there are no problems. I find this very unacceptable and I am now very fearful of having to make a sudden stop. There have been recalls on certain of these vehicles (raiders) but I was told mine was not one of them. However, I seem to experience exactly what the recalled vehicles experience.
