I recently purchased a Nissan 2007, 350z from a local dealership. Upon noticing the tpms light on, a long series of events led us to discover that the wheels and tires on the car are not original equipment. The dealership took delivery of the car, sold it to original owner, serviced it and resold it to us. They will do nothing to give us information or satisfaction regarding this matter. I have no way to be sure the vehicle is safe with these wheels and I am afraid to drive it. Please advise.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan murano. The contact state while driving 65 mph he notice the vehicle was drifting. The contact was able to pull over to the side. The contact then drove to a local mechanic and was diagnosed as a rear tire subframe was rusted and need replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The contact did notify the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.
