Test drove this car at Toyota of rock hill. Sales manager did not want me to take it on the interstate. I refused to buy it unless I could take it there. Went approximately 1 mile. With flow of traffic in right lane, being passed on left. Not speeding. Car started fishtailing. Slid sideways to the right and off road. I was going straight when car malfunctioned. This seems to be a more prevalent issue with the 04 model.

4 Suspension problem of the 2005 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 07/23/2010

I have had 3 recent Nissan vehicles that have had serious mechanical issues, 1st 2006 Nissan murano (only owner) 2nd 2004 Nissan 350z 3rd 2005 Nissan 350z which each of these vehicles are over $30,000 and top models of manufacturer. The murano which I had to sell July 2011 due to buying a home and could not deal with the problems that it was having on a regular basis. . . . The 2004 350z I bought off a private seller, it looked good and boy was I wrong the stereo, electrical components, seats, overheating, horrible roar from the rear end, tires, windows failing, need I say more!!!!! now to the car I am currently not using due to it being in the shop for the past 3+weeks, and finally having to drive with the tech to let him witness the defect as I drove. . . . . This has been a huge headache to go through this with 3 new vehicles from 1 manufacturer, and them not accepting any responsibility for. They advised that my clutch had to be replaced and it was due to normal wear and tear. . . . . . . . I don't think so the car has approx 74000 miles I bought with 47198. In March 2011 after numerous visits and calls to dealership they finally replaced the master and slave cylinder at my request because I researched to find many complaints for the same components and troubles . I could go on but I am just f'ing sick of this crap from Nissan and I am ready to blow my top!!!!!.

5 Suspension problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 09/02/2008

While making a normal left turn through an intersection my car began to spin. After a complete 360 degree spin and smack into a curb, there was slight damage to left rear exterior wheel well. This alignment issue and premature tire wear problem needs to be rectified. Someone has to do something. Under normal driving conditions to do a complete 360 spin out is ridiculous. I am lucky no one smacked into me after I stopped. I have had my tires replaced twice on the right rear and once on the left rear because of the inner tire wear. I have had an alignment done also. All this was prior to my spin out. Something is not right with this car. Any answers, solutions, recommendations? I have read numerous complaints on this site about the same problem I am having. Are you even doing anything with these complaints? from what everyone else has written, no one has done a thing. There are no recalls or anything for this issue. Please address this problem immediately before someone winds up getting hurt from this. Obviously the dealership wont do a thing it will be way too costly for them. But for mine and the rest of the drivers on the roads safety, make something happen. Give us a recall to fix this ongoing problem. Its been almost 6 years and still no solution. Come on guys, I know your better than that. Our safety is now in your hands.

8 Suspension problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 08/10/2006

I have an 2004 350z touring. I bought the car with 16,,000 miles on it. Now, it has 30000 miles on it. In the 14000 mile range the tires on the front feathered completely due to sever negative camber. Took vehicle to victory Nissan of richmond several times, and they only aligned the car and charge me for it. I have an appointment on 6/20/2007 to go to dealer and will demand new tires as the problem has not been fixed.

9 Suspension problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 04/06/2006

Bought a 2003 Nissan 350z used from keyes Nissan of woodland hills,CA. Tiptronic (auto/semi-manual) transmission needed to be replaced within 45 days. Now a whining noise that is still not fixed as well as excessive heat from shifter area that causes passengers to sweat & scalding hot to touch. Car hasn't seemed to run right since. Seems every 350z owner has the same atypical problems-tire feathering, transmissions replaced, rear axles, power window motors fail(the last 2 are my next trip to the dealer). Nissan needs to fix our nightmare. Nissan support is nonexistent as well, which makes your ordeal all the more miserable.

10 Suspension problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 03/27/2006

I own a Nissan 350z 2004 roadster touring edition and the tires on the front have been replaced at 16,000+ because the inside tread became extremely worn. While in the dealership they told me about an alignment problem that Nissan was reviewing. They claimed to have fixed the alignment problem, free of charge, but I had to replace the tires. I'm now at 31,115 and the same problem has occurred again. The front and back tires look new from the outside, but on the inside tread the tires were showing severe signs of wear. I believe there is a serious alignment issue. . . If I would not have fish tail my car I might not have had the car looked at. A potential accident waiting to happen with this car.

16 Suspension problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 01/10/2005

The vehicle turned off in the middle of a rainstorm when I was driving on the highway and ended up on the road where I didn't have much of a pull out which could have been disastrous if another vehicle had not been aware due to the conditions on the roadway. The result of this is due to burning of oil which the manufacturer has no idea of what causes this! they just order a consumption test and rarely does what they are supposed to! which is replace the motor as they did in my case but not without a fight!I went to the bbb whom ordered Nissan to replace the motor along with other fixes for suspension and window motor but those are separate issues. They replaced motor but it still ended up breaking down again twice after and they don't want to fix! it broke down about 6 thousand miles after the new motor.

Failure Date: 11/17/2004

In each occurrence the manufacturer suggests changing the tires and realigning the front end instead of fixing the real underlying mechanical defect.

18 Suspension problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 07/22/2004

I leased my 350z in Aug 2003 and on 7/22/2004 with 9128 miles on the vehicle I took it in for service due to loud roaring when braking in the front end. The dealer replaced the front tires and aligned the front at no cost to me. On 2/15/2005 with 13782 miles I have now brought the car in once again with the same growing noise and the dealer once again has stated I need new front tires and another front end alignment. He stated that they would install at no cost to me but the warranty on this would be up after 8/23/2005. It appears that Nissan has only a temporary fix on for this problem and I guess I will be responsible for the tires and alignment after the 2 years.

19 Suspension problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 01/10/2004

I was driving the car in a rainy stormy night north bound hwy 101 on January 10th 2004 when my 2003 Nissan 350z stopped with a huge clunk in the motor compartment and came to a rolling stop to the side of the road where there was not much shoulder space and poor visibilty that night!apparently this vehicle has been burning oil 1qt pr thousand miles! I didnt know this from getting regular oil changes at aroung the 3k marker! kept getting oil consumption test but no corrective action was taken by manufacturer until I went to the bbb! then Nissan was forced to replace motor, clutch , tires which ive been having issues long before this ever occured along with the window motors in which the windows kept giving out also! my vehicle broke down again some 1000 miles after the new motor! my car kept stalling at a stop light! I had the vehicle taken to the Nissan dealer where I almost had to fight with the sevice rep to get it taken care of under warranty! about 3k miles after the new motor was replaced and installed I had the vehicle taken to get an oil change and the car was almost 3qts low again! yes the car still keeps burning oil!Nissan did not want to do anything about it! I kept calling consumer affairs whom kept passing my file around to one rep and another. I finally broke down 3-4 thousand miles later and have been for over a month with a vehicle that does not run and no assurance from the dealer who fixed my motor less than 7k miles ago. This car has been giving me problems since the first few months ive had it.

25 Suspension problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 10/10/2003

I own a 2003 Nissan 350z. I purchased the car on July 3rd, 2003. Since that purchase, the front tires have been "feathering" and all Nissan will do is pull the tires off and rotate the problem area to the outside of the wheel. Now the inside will start to "feather" thus creating the ride even rougher and more unstable. Not only is this causing excessive wear to the tires, but once rotated, it has increased the chance for a blowout even further. Nissan continues to Dodge my request for a suspension adjustment, as this is apparently the problem, by saying that it is not the suspension or the alignment, but the tires themselves (which is just not true.
