This is the second time that I had to replace the transmission on this car then the axle twice and the brakes then etc.
The sound packaging was peeling ; yet truly the floor boards on driverside and front pasenger have completely rusted off!! so dangerous! and I have horrible allergies and the carpet is full of dust and mildew.
Mi carro tiene problemas con las cabezas . Y ahorita no lo puedo usar porq esta parado por no arreglarlo todavia quisiera saber sobre recall. Gracias.
During an annual inspection, it was discovered that both driver and passenger floor pans are rusting thru. Please note that this is a garage kept car with low miles for it's age. There is no other rust on the undercarriage of the car except in these areas. The inspector noted that this is not normal for a car of this age and mileage. After research on the odi site, I've found numerous complaints for the exact same issue. This is a serious safety and structural issue that is known by Nissan for years, but they refuse to act upon it. The vehicle can now be considered unsafe to drive by fault of design of the manufacture. Please have an investigator open a ticket to have a recall, or at the very least, a manufacture fix since this is a safety issue. . . Even though Nissan is stating that it isn't and they won't act. . . This should be a negligence case on the part of Nissan.
My 2004 Nissan Altima has severe corrosion on the passenger-side floor board. I fear this vehicle is no longer safe to drive> Nissan is aware of this issue and has been for several years yet they refuse to repair these corrosion issues, claiming there are not a safety issue and out of warranty.
Rear suspension bushings & takata recall the car slips in the rear wheels similar to "fish-tailing" in snow. Nissan offered a recall in 2006 to replace parts on rear suspension system without notifying me until 2015, months before the recall expired. Notices never contained any notification of any expiration date. After hours of customer service claimed there was never a recall; then yes there was a recall that I had replaced in 2007; then claiming the work was completed in 2014, they finally agreed to having the car inspected regarding this recall. The dealership at woodfield Nissan claimed that my car was "unsafe to drive" and listed every other part of my suspension that needed to be replaced other than the main one in the recall. A service order was created that the dealership refused to give me when the service manager lost his temper and got physically intimidating towards me. My wife and I are frightened to ever go to this dealership due to this. Now I am driving an "unsafe to drive" vehicle that Nissan left me without any paperwork to advise me what is unsafe about it. After asking Nissan corporation to step in, as well as bbb & IL a. G. Reports were filed, no one to date has given me documentation regarding this inspection. This dealership's owner also owns the other dealership near me and my wife where we are no longer welcomed. This, and the fact that the corporation refuses to help resolve this, makes it impossible for us to have the takata recall work completed without going thru further stress with Nissan and local dealerships. That is very unethical, if not illegal.
I was in an accident on 20oct 2014 and my insurance considered car as " total loss" after appraisal but air bag did not open even though it was severe damage as I rear ended car in front x I did suffer muscle ache for couple of days but no medical attention was needed x even my prescription glasses for distance broke with impact prior to this event past 4 years I was taking my car to Nissan dealership for " sensor" issues even though there was no mechanical problem with car and I had to bear the expenses every time sensor light came on this happened almost every year for 3 consecutive years and I complained to Nissan but they did nothing about it & now with air bag not opening with total damage to front end of my car was very worrisome I do have pictures / police report for accident & Nissan repair work done in past for sensor issues if needed thank you for investigating.
While I was pulling out from a parking lot, my car just cut off. I have not had the money to even take it to see what was wrong with it until recently and was told that both of my catalytic converters were going bad and that it would cost $1100 to get it fixed. So I checked online to see it was any recalls on it and it was several but was told it did not include my car. Since the first time that it cut off it has done it at least 6 more times. Once I was in the middle of the street and was almost rear ended by the car behind me. I don't understand how the recalls say my make and model and mileage of my Altima but it doesn't include my car.
I merely went to open my driver side plastic door handle as normal to open door and the plastic part split into two pieces, I heard of many owners with same problem. This is a saftey issuea nd should be fixed by Nissan, will they?.
The ignition coils keep blistering and bubbling/melting after replacing new ones. It is never ending.
I was unsure how the rust on the fllorboard of my 2004 Nissan Altima had occurred but is it so bad that there is a hole in my floorboard. It has now gotten so bad that it has now affected the frame of the car.
3 out of 4 door handles on my 2004 Nissan Altima have broken off in the past 2 years. I've seen many other Altima's with a similar situation. Each of my handles snapped right off with the normal force of opening the door. There is something very defective with how the handles are made and/or attached to the cars. I'd understand if only 1 handle broke off and I was the only person it happened to but when 3 out of 4 break and I've seen over 20 other cars in my area with broken handles then there is reason to believe this is a major defect and should warrant a recall by Nissan. I've called Nissan dealerships, consumer affairs and the main corporate office but they refuse to help me. The consumer affairs person hung up of me while I was still speaking. They are unwilling to assist in any manner or even listen to my complaint.
