On 5/23/19 my son was driving this car on the interstate when the car began to decelerate and completely stopped/shutdown on the highway. It's a blessing he was not injured/killed when this happened. The diagnostic check revealed a sensor that the fuel pump needed to be replaced, so after an expensive repair on 5/24/19. Then on 5/25/19 while driving to work, the car began to do the exact same thing again and stopped on the highway. Nissan needs to address the issue with this car ASAP before someone gets seriously injured or killed!!!.
The fuel gauge is inaccurate and the service engine lights illuminates with fault code p0462. Money spent unnecessarily on brand new fuel pump assembly problem still exists. Occurs both stationary and in motion problem occurs.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Altima. While driving various speeds, the engine suddenly vibrated, the check engine indicator illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. Check engine light keeps coming on, stating low fuel sensoe out. $1200. 00 worht of work, replaced the fuel pump and sensor. Now they are stating it is the wiring harness on fuel pump shorting out. Part is on national recall.
