Dashboard Crack problems of the 2007 Nissan Altima

My 2007 Nissan Altima dashboard suddenly started having cracks. The cracks run all along the seams but there are others that just cracked out of no where. I have notified Nissan corporate who referred me to my local dealership and when I talked to my dealership they said they � would look into it� and get back with me. I am aware of the class action lawsuits in florida and texas and they state it's the heat. Well I live in louisiana just as hot and I park in a garage. 80,000 miles. With all these cracks and goo and sticky stuff people are having has anyone tested this substance for toxicity. I now have two white spots appearing. My cracks looks like the dashboard is lifting and I was told it could be gases from � glue� that holds dash down. As a former nurse this could be very dangerous as no one is testing this and it can be affecting thousands of lives who are exposed to this daily. Nissan is aware of this problem and they state out of warranty. Have they tested this. All complaints are 2007 owners. In my opinion this needs further investigation due to possible substances being released (I have asthma) and other owners who cannot see out their window. We have had our car several years and we also can't roll down the windows with our key or power locks either.

They took a report and told me that someone would get back to me. I tried to tell him the story and he said he knew what to write. A few days later a lady called me and told me it was out of warranty and there is nothing they would do for me. It is the heat. I keep my car under my carport in the shade whenever I am at home when I go to work it is parked in the shade in the parking garage when I go shopping, I use a sun shade. My car has about 65,000 miles on it and it looks horrible inside with the cracked dashboard and is a safety issue. Something needs to be done about this issue. I know I am not the only person that is having this issue. Somebody needs to make Nissan take care of this issue for their customers.

Nissan was sued last year for dashboards of Nissan Altimas for 2008 and 2009. My Nissan is a 2007. Went to the dealer because I have the same problems it causes a glare on the windshield when driving that I could easily cause an accident. For years my dashboard has been cracked. It's sticky and discusting . My car has always slept in the garage . I do live in florida . I bought the car in florida . The lawsuit was for florida residents only . I want to know why these lawyers were able to sue Nissan got millions of dollars but only submitted 2008 and 2008 the lawsuit gave customers only about 5 months to do a claim . Total bologny . What do I have to do to fight Nissan on this matter .
