general problems of the 2007 Nissan Altima

The vehicle shakes, for a lack of better word it shudders during drives short or long, smells of gasoline constantly, randomly decides not to start, has fuel efficiency problems, is prone to overheating, the dealer confirmed there is an issue, but told me they can't do anthony about it because the "fix" used aftermarket parts and they refuse to do anything until the parts are changed back. The dealership even told me I might as well just run the vehicle to the ground due to that issue!.

While drive car started smokeing. Under carage erupted in flames. I was pull out of the car by driver on the highway before fire deparrment of police officer were able to get to me. By this time the car was in gulf in flames.

I attempted to pass another vehicle and my car began stalling and I had to emergently pull over on the same side of the road as oncoming traffic. Had I been on a bridge or been followed closely by another car it could have caused an accident. I placed in park and attempted to restart the car several times before it started. I called petro Nissan and they said it sounded as if the cam or drive sensor was going out. I drove cautiously to the nearest Nissan dealer(mossey) in houston. They did diagnostics on it but could not find the cause. When I arrived at the mississippi river bridge in baton rouge I approached at 70mph but on the bridge I could not get the accelorator to respond to keep me above 50 mph. I felt I would have stalled had the bridge been any steeper or longer. It was very scarry but I manged to make it over and exerienced no further problems. I took it to petro the next morning on Thursday and it has been there since. They have not been able to diagnose or re produce the symptoms. Today, they are consulting Nissan factory engineer.

First, no problems but at regular oil maintenance, they said we had an oil leak. Had it fixed. Engine started stalling. No warning lights. Said had an oil leak of some kind. Fixed it again (so we thought). Happened again two months later - car started stalling. Engine light came on that time. Towed it Nissan. Said had an oil leak. Fixed it (again we thought). Two months later riding down road at low speed, car caught on fire. Got it put out before engulfed because of a gentleman passing by had a cooler full of water. Engine is now totally no good and have another year to pay on this car.
