The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse, an abnormal noise emitted from underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that both front coil springs had fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 72,000.

2 Front Suspension Coil Spring problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the vehicle front end swerved violently rattles when a bump was hit. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic whom performed a diagnostic which located the front struts and bushing, and the coil spring. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 09v358000 (suspension). The failure mileage was 77,134. Li.
