While driving with headlights on there is very low visibility, it almost appears the headlights are not on at all. When switching to the high beams they appear to not be as bright as normal either. This is a huge problem that I fear could lead to a collision due to very low visibility.
My head lights are very dim. I cannot drive at night and I have to use the high beams if I do. I have had the bulbs switched out and I have also had headlight restoration done on the headlights. Nothing has fixed the issue. This is very dangerous. Nissan needs to take responsibility and address this issue. This is a major safety concern and it needs attention. Nissan told me it would cost over $1600 to get new head lights.
My low beam headlights are too dim on my 2013 Altima. I cannot see during night hours. It is dangerous to myself and others on the road. I have tried to switch headlight bulbs and nothing works. This is a safety hazard! I am in dallas, TX.
The low beam headlights are entirely inadequate to provide sufficient lighting intensity and failed to safely illuminate the street ahead of you. This creates a very dangerous situation when driving at night, while raining, or under any low visibility conditions since you are not able to see objects, even worst, pedestrians in the path of travel. This issue has been present since I bought the car (brand new), but became a real serious and safety hazard between 15k-20k miles. Unfortunately, I have to constantly drive with the high beams at night leaving other drivers with a partial blindness; which I consider it unfair and unsafe, too. Sometimes, when I switch to low for an oncoming vehicle, I suddenly find myself driving completely without sufficient light. My eyes become partially blind due to the change in light intensity. As a safety professional in the aviation industry, I hope that Nissan and NHTSA do something sooner, because tomorrow might be too late.
I have a bad rattle coming from the right side of my car along with a whine noise coming from the same area. Also have a very bad vibration/rattle in the car that seems to be from the transmission at acceleration from a start and acceleration while switching lanes on a city street. You can coast and press the gas again and then the whole car rattles. It has been in to a Nissan dealership and they said they can feel it but don't know where or what is causing it. Also headlights give very very poor visibility when driving at night and when raining at night.
1) the low beam headlights are entirely inadequate to provide sufficient lighting intensity and distance. The lights barely illuminate about 2 car lengths ahead, which is too short a distance at speeds above 25-30mph, making highway travel at night very dangerous. Objects in the path of travel and on the side of the road are not visible in time to safely respond. Street signs and turns are nearly impossible to identify if they are not near street lights. This issue has been present since buying the car, which has been to the dealer multiple times for adjustment, but they insist that the lights are set within specs. The high beams provide excellent lighting, but when switched to low for an oncoming vehicle, I am suddenly driving without sufficient light. This is such a frightening problem that I prefer not to drive this car at night. I can't believe that these lights meet safety standards. 2) the passenger side air bag light often indicates that the bag is not activated even when there is an adult sitting in the seat. This was supposedly repaired in a recall 5/2014, but continues to happen. The dealer says "don't worry about it," that the bag will deploy if needed. I have no way of knowing if that is the case and I believe this is a safety concern.
