The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise progressing from the rear brakes, which worsened when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact had to apply force to the brake pedal to ensure that the vehicle came to a complete stop. The dealer completed a multi-point inspection, oil change, resurfaced the rotors, and replaced the rear brake pads. The failure recurred six months later. The vehicle was to be taken back to the dealer for further inspection. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.
The rear passenger side brakes were making grinding and squealing noises. The rear caliber on the car was stuck and was grinding away at the break pads. The rotor and the break pads on the car were ruined. What is upsetting about the situation is that the car has 4300 miles.
