1 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2021

Driving at night is very dangerous for me to drive with my kids home I'm a single parent the headlights mainly low beams are very very low you can even till they are on the police pulled me over and made a joke saying I would be better off using two flashlights can you please tell me the problem or help I almost was in a accident with my children in the car is the low beams the highbeams I've had to resort to put a fog lights on my car thank you please respond.

2 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2020

My low beam lights are barely lighting up the road even after changing the bulbs. It's coming from the silver housing part that holds the bulbs and Nissan needs to replace this. I almost hit a person walking last night. I was driving down a dark road going slow. I have to use my fog lights just to help me out some and it's still not enough lighting. My brights work great it's just the low beam.

3 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2019

Main headlights are extremely dim. They have gotten progressively worse over the past two years and now help almost not at all. If I did not have fog lights I would have to drive with the high beams on in order to see at night.

4 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 01/11/2019

The low beam headlights on our 2014 Nissan Altima are so dim you can barely see. I changed the bulbs out to a brighter aftermarket led bulb and the difference is minimal at best. The high beams are still very bright but they are not the projection style. In order to be able to see at night when there is oncoming traffic I must keep the fog lights onto light up the road. The illumination is so poor that security lights that are over people's driveways are brighter than the headlights and driving at night in the rain is basically impossible on low beam. I've talked to a Nissan mechanic and he said the only true fix will be to replace the entire headlight assembly because their are issues with the materials breaking down inside the projector portion of the headlight assembly. If that's the case Nissan has done a poor job of designing their headlight assembly and should replace them at their cost as this is a very real hazard. After speaking to the mechanic I started looking online and have found this isn't an isolated issue, evidently it's all Altimas from 2013-2015 that are experiencing this problem.

5 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

I noticed last year that my low beam headlights were really dim, literally the fog lights illuminate farther than the low beam lights. I bought new bulbs that were led and my high beam lights are really bright, however the low beam lights are still just as they were before. I did some research online and found that many Nissan Altima 2013-2015 owners were experiencing the same issue. This is a very serious issue when driving at night, if you can't see without your bright lights on!!! why has there not been a recall done on the headlights yet???? surely something can be done about this before there is a tragic wreck because a driver can't see two feet in front of the car while going down the road.
