July 2018: brake light switch had intermittent failures - once the brake pedal was engaged, it would not disengage. The problem was intermittent over a month-long period. Once the problem occurred, the car would only use neutral gear. (detailed description attached) happened on the highway at 50+ mph as well as from stop signs, stop & go traffic. July 2019: brake light switch had intermittent failures - the car would not start even though the brake pedal was engaged; the car's electronics did not recognize that the brake pedal was engaged.
