The rear lower arm control snapped while driving on even surface road. I’m a female and when I heard the pop I got out and inspected the car. Could have caused injury to myself or other motorists. Confirmed with two mechanics that this in fact was the rear arm control and that they have had these issues with a lot of Nissan Altima and sentra. Was advised to take to Nissan dealership to see if they will repair-which I did, but I’m currently awaiting a response by Nissan to see if they will cover it. The car has been making a squeaky sound but it comes and goes. The check engine light came on but displayed loose fuel cap and it goes out when I put gas in my car from time to time. I’ve also heard that is another issue with Nissan with the loose fuel cap. I just want my vehicle repaired. It is maintained although it is a 2017 and has 157,000 miles. No real issues until now.
Failed component: drivers front coil spring broke. Yes available for inspection upon request. Does not appear to have signs of exterior corrosion. Could effect drivability of vehicle. I think Nissan issued a technical service bulletin for 2022 Altima but not for 2017 Altima. Part has not been inspected by manufacture, police, or any others. No warning indications to driver. Incident occurred pulling out of driveway.
One month insurance policy lapse and license plate surrender license suspension when I was in hospital emergency room bed time .
Both front springs broke at 30k miles.
I have a clunking from the rear of my 2017 Nissan Altima when going over bumps and the front end of the car is also very unstable going around curves at highway speeds, the clunking is heard after going over bumps or dips in the road and it's the same noise that generated recall p9324 and I have attempted to get it fixed at the dealer to no prevail.
Loose steering at highway speeds and going around a curve on the highway also have clunking from the rack and pinion but the dealer says the clunk is normal but it doesn't feel normal.
All the suden I will start my car and give it gas and will not move as if it was being force to run. This has happen many time after this day.
Makes a popping and clanking noise when going over bumps slowly.
My car is running very hard it's not smooth anymore I feel the pressure coming from the wheel and the steering wheel is not straight as supposed to.
