I have a 2019 Nissan Altima sr 2. 5. I have currently had the car for about 3 or 4 years now. For most of the time I have had the car, the check engine light stays on. I have had it tested, and it always states that it is the mass air flow sensor. When sitting in park idling, it will "malfunction" and state that the engine is reducing power. During this, the automatic emergency brake warning light and the vdc light will come on. It's rare that it happens while I am driving but it has happened. I recently had the vehicle checked again and again it stated that the mass air flow sensor and the grille shutter actuator were throwing codes along with some other minor items. I purchased the mafs and replaced it in hope that this would correct a lot of the idling issues, however after a few days of driving the vehicle, it again has started to malfunction and idle harshly. I do know it typically happens in the morning recently, but I was also having issues with my battery draining for no reason. This car is a certified lemon. I currently don't know what to do, as this sight states I have no unrepaired recalls for this vehicle, and I currently owe too much money to trade it in.
Driving down the road and my parking brake light came on when it wasn’t in park and I was on a highway. Malfunction light came on, but car runs fine and had it looked at with no problems.
I own a 2019 Nissan Altima s, and recently, all three door locks except for the front passenger door stopped responding to the key fob and the button on the door. From my research, it seems that the most common cause of this issue is a faulty door lock actuator. Many users on reddit and other forums have reported that the door lock actuators in 2019 Nissan Altimas or new models 2020, 2021 and 2022 can fail, resulting in doors that won’t lock or unlock either with the key fob or even manually. This problem can affect one or multiple doors at a time and is often attributed to a defective actuator. I spoke with a Nissan customer who refused to repair my vehicle and advised me to contact the NHTSA. They will investigate, and if approved, Nissan will repair the issue at no charge. I would like to report this issue for a potential recall and seek assistance with repairs, which are estimated to cost around $1,000.
There car chugs and stops . I have had this checked multiple times sensors changed and no solution . Check engine light initiated and car stops - very dangerous issue while I'm on highway.
While driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights were inadvertently illuminated.
In August 2024, while driving at around 35 mph, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The background was red and had white writing. The only word I got to see was "master" something. It flashed so quickly I couldn't read it. The car lost speed like it was about to stall simultaneously. A week later I had to jump start the engine. I had my battery checked and it was good. I had to get another jump start on October 8, 2024. I bought the car new in April 2019. I've replaced the battery twice. I shouldn't have to replace the battery that often. I have kept the maintenance up as required.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights inadvertently illuminated. The contact also noticed that the shutters remained opened, causing the engine to overheat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the grill shutter valve had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the failure with the instrument panel. The contact stated that the failure recurred with the instrument panel. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,582.
Backup camera is malfunctioning there is already a recall on the platinum series Altima but not the sl line. This has been been going on for about a month on the backup camera.
Front and rear lh door locks do not work with buttons or key fob. Poses a safety risk entering or exiting the vehicle.
I just bought a used 2019 Nissan Altima from a dealership. Very shortly after buying, two of the actuators went out not allowing me to lock or unlock the passenger or back/driver's side doors. I am on a military base and have to park my car in parking lots everywhere I go. This is unsafe for me to have my vehicle stolen, anything left in my car stolen. I brought it to the dealership I bought it from, and they won't touch it. By reading other reviews this is a common problem for this vehicle. It should be addressed unknown if this has been inspected, as I just purchased it used. No warning lights have come on to warn me of this issue.
I bought my 2019 Nissan Altima platinum brand new. Since then I have had to replace all of the door lock actuators a minimum of 2 times, I say 2 times because only one has been replaced twice. All of the others have been replaced at least 3 times and the driver and driver side passenger side are ready for the 4th replacement. This presents a safety as well as security issue.
Without warning, both sideview mirrors, plus the blindspot warning system began to not work. Mirror adjustments failed to work on both sides and also the blindspot warning light stopped working when a vehicle would pass. I proceeded to take my vehicle to regal Nissan, inc. , located at 1090 holcomb bridge road, roswell, georgia 30076, 770-998-8686 on December 19, 2023 at approximately 2:00pm, and was told by the service advisor, deandre gaines that they would not be able to look at it as the day was almost over and he scheduled an appointment for December 20, 2023 at 9:00am. Today, December 20, 2023, I attended my appointment arriving approximately 9:09am and spoke with deandre gaines. He told me that they would do a diagnostic check to find out what was causing this. I asked if the diagnostic check would be just for my arm rest where the control was or did he mean for the whole car, and he said no not the whole car only the arm rest, and he never stated the price. I told him that I would wait on the car, and proceeded to their customer waiting room. Once they were done, they tell me that the cost would be $175. 88!!! I asked for what??? he tells me that because I have 39,747 miles and it is outside the the 36,000 mile warranty that this is what it cost for a diagnostic. I said, you never said the price!!! I had no idea that it would cost this much just for you to tell me this. He strong-armed me on the price. I then asked to speak to his manager (which I did not get his name) and the manager then said the same thing. I was so frustrated at how I strong-armed on this price. Deandre never stated the price. This is border line exhortation. He took my freedom away as a georgia consumer by giving the price after the fact and not telling me the price before hand. This would not have been an issue if he had told me the price beforehand, as I would have had the choice to say yes or no. If additional documentation is needed, please let me know. The download is not working.
Since I purchased this car during warranty 2 of the door locks quit working and was replaced under warranty but since the warranty has ran out the other 2 door locks quit working. So if I lock my door it will not unlock so I have to crawl in a door that will lock. The other option is not lock my doors so everything can be stolen out of my car or I could be robbed since they could open my door at any parking lot or redlight.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle stalled, and the power brakes and power steering were inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over and called roadside assistance for a jumpstart. The contact stated that the failure of the electric power had become a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
See attached document from complainant.
While driving straight on a two lane road, steering wheel suddenly locked, unable to regain control the car was locked in a turning position causing the vehicle to crash into a pole. Car is totaled. No rain, low speed and wasn’t turning when it happened.
My key does not unlock or lock my passenger or rear doors. So far it only unlocks the driver door. I have to get in and unlock the doors manually. The key fab works but the door sensors do not respond. I looked it up and this has been a common problem reported for the 2019 Nissan Altima along with other electrical problems. I’ve had to replace the battery twice. This is a 2019 vehicle which I purchased in 2020. Had to replace the battery in 2021 and in 2023. The most pressing issue right now is the door locks. This is an expensive repair. There should be a recall issued so that Nissan can repair the door sensors.
The doors won’t unlock when using the key fob or pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the driver and passenger front doors. I believe the actuators are not functioning properly. Also, the engine light came on and the code is p059f which indicates a faulty active grille shutter assembly.
The shutter in the front of the car is defective. This part not working causes the car to overheat. There are so many issues with this exact same problem on this exact car that there is literally a back order and I cannot get the part so now I can’t use my car. My mechanic place said he’s seen 4 of these cars in the past week with the same problem and can’t get the parts because of back order. If there are this many issues that it’s causing this much of a shortage and it can cause overheating this should be a recall issue.
I have had the most problems with this car. I have had it in the shop 2 times paid more than $600 both times to be rewired and a sensor was messed up 1 day later check engine light came on they wanted me to bring it back and charge me again I said no thank you check engine light is still on. 3 months in between the 2 times to get rewired. Only lock that works is front passenger side they stopped working they wanted to charge me 400 per door to get fixed. I had to replace battery 2 times I’m having problems with it again. The radio will change randomly that can last 10 minutes or 30 minutes. This is the most crap car I have spent money on! I can’t find the invoice for 12/14/22 but I did attach the bill from 2/24/23. I can show proof from credit card where it was paid on 12/14/22.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start. Additionally, the battery drained quickly, causing the windows and doors to fail to open. The contact had to recharge the battery every day to prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact related the failure to a faulty electrical system. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled with the engine malfunction warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle had failed to start-up after multiple attempts while depressing the push to start button. The contact had the vehicle towed to his residence due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on multiple occasions, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
Door lock actuators are failing, I cannot unlock or lock any door except for driver with key or buttons on the door.
My back doors do not lock with the fob. I have to manually unlock and lock my rear doors. My driver side door is starting to not work as well. This is a major safety issue that Nissan seems to not care about. My car only has 35,000 miles on it.
The heating seat is not working, and the locking system within all doors is failing. Also, lane departure and steering assist is not aligning properly.
The front passenger door and both rear doors will not lock/unlock with the key fob or the button in the car. The doors when locked by hand will randomly unlock while the car is driving.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated after driving down her driveway and then entering the roadway and accelerating to 15 mph, the engine seized. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the infotainment system became inoperable. The vehicle was hauled by her tractor back to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure however, a dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 65,515.
Care is giving error of "engine malfunction reduced speed, service soon" with engine, traction and collision lights activating at the same time. Car than slows down and has shut off. This error happens while driving or just by having it on. Also while stereo, buletooth or carplay is on the volume will decrease on its own unable to turn up volume with knob. This has been happening since I bought the care in 2021.
Vehicle door locks stopped working with key fob and with interior controls. Radio volume control on unit doesn’t work only the steering wheel control. Radio will randomly change station by itself. Radio will randomly turn on when car is off. Car will not start and has to be jumped for no apparent reason. Battery has had to been replaced twice in the last 4 years. Dealership has not been able to replicate any of the issues other than the door locks that where repaired under an extended warranty that we purchased. There has to be some kind of electrical issue with these cars as I have seen many other reports of same issues from other people.
I was hit front passenger side at 45mph and air bags didn’t deploy. And now I have suspension and electrical issues on my 2019 Nissan Altima.
Passenger and rear doors do not unlock with the electronic locks or manually, has happened multiple times.
I was out of town when my car stopped on me the car could not detect my key I kept getting the warning key id incorrect my car would not start I had to get it towed to the Nissan dealership in lake city florida were they put it on the diagnostic system no code pulled up they programmed a new key to it it still didn't work so they finally told me they didn't know what wrong with it a week later I all them and they tell me it was my computer module that it had went out I've only had the car 1yr and half bought it brand new I was out of town stranded at a gas station no way to get home only option they gave me was to trade it in they end up auctioning the car off because it would have cost them to much to fix it.
All door lock actuators. This is available for inspection. The safety of myself and passengers is at risk due to not being able to unlock and lock my vehicle at any given time. This is a security risk for any occupants in the event of needing to quickly lock doors or unlock in the event of an emergency. This also puts my vehicle at risk of theft and being stolen. The door actuators will not activate from the remote key or the unlock/lock buttons inside the vehicle. Yes, I had jim johnson Nissan (bowling green, ky) look at the problem and they confirmed and quoted me for this. No, it has not been inspected by the manufacturer. There was no warning to the problem. The first door actuator failed at around 50,000 miles (2021) and progressed to all door actuators failing. This problem is reoccurring in this model of the Nissan Altima.
Driver side for lock actuator broke. Previous year Nissans has this exact same recall a couple years ago. Car only has 44,000 miles on it, the actuators should not be going already.
The right passenger side doors won’t lock, you have to manually unlock and locked front passenger and back passenger door.
Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph with the intelligent pilot feature engaged, a deer abruptly darter in front of the vehicle. The intelligent pilot failed to operate as needed and no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, the contact had to swerve left of center on an off ramp which caused him to slam into the back of an 18 wheeler truck. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. A police report was not filed and the vehicle was able to driven away from the scene. After the accident occured, the parking sensor error and chassis control system error warning messages had illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000. Jo.
The radio and hvac systems failed; going down mn I-35 west south bound at 70mph the radio abruptly changed stations and went to full blast. It continued to randomly change between stations at full blast. I was unable to adjust the volume via the steering wheel controls or radio controls. I was also unable to shutoff the radio. The changes were sudden, shocking, and they caused me to hit the breaks and jerk into another lane. The issue continues randomly and happens on freeways, highways, city streets and at stoplights. There is no common trend to when it happens or what the vehicle is doing at the time. Controls become unresponsive to address it until the vehicle is shutoff. The vehicle has been brought in several times to walzer Nissan group in mn that have reviewed video footage of the radio doing this. They have validated the issue and are unable to repair it.
I am having an issue while driving that my car is saying my front sensor in blocked causing my car to randomly automatic break while no other cars are around me. I took my car to Nissan in cherry hill, NJ where I bought the car eight months ago. They told me that the sensor was bent and my car was hit or in an accident. Let me specify that I was not in an accident, and my car was not hit by another car. There are no marks on the front of my car that would give them reason to say my car was in an accident. I take my car to get serviced at a non- Nissan dealership. Nissan of cherry hill is trying to blame that company for the "damage" that never happened.
My doors are not locking or unlocking. . . Key fob, interior switch, and actual key works sometimes but never at the same time!.
Rear door locking / unlocking. Rear door dosen't lock nor unlock from key fob nor button on driver side door panel it has to be manually locked and unlocked.
Back seat doors do not lock when pressing the automatic lock button located on the inside of the doors, and when pressing the lock button on the remote key. Vehicle was stationary.
Back in the July I got into a rear end collision, the emergency braking should have kicked in but it did not. Since then, the emergency braking has applied multiple times in the open by itself with no cars ahead or in view. It makes me very nervous to drive this. It has happened both on city streets and the highway. I tried telling the Nissan dealership and they have no knowledge and are not willing to work with me for failure and damages.
The intelligent forward collision warning is broken warning lights come on and say it's not working driving on the freeway, when you turn off the car it resets but driving again it shows the warning lights again. Only 6000 miles.
The gas tank notification says that I have no gas when I have gas in the car it also gives me a burnt smell and loud static noise even when the car is off, the stereo stopped working and I just bought the car 5/5/19.
Tl the contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that vent control function for the heat and air conditioner failed to operate. The contact previously traded in a 2016 Nissan Altima for which autonation Nissan pembroke pines (8890 pines blvd, pembroke pines, FL 33024, (954) 949-0421) replaced the air compressor. Currently, the 2019 Altima was experiencing the same failure. The dealer diagnosed that the air compressor needed to be replaced. The part was to be replaced by the dealer; however, the contact felt that the oem part may be faulty and would not provide a permanent remedy. The manufacturer was notified. The contact wanted to the vehicle to be bought back if there was no remedy. The failure mileage was not available.
