Blind Spot Detection Problems of Nissan Altima

Didn't know what the list this one but at a certain speed on the highway the hood latch comes loose unlocks, and my backup camera all of a sudden doesn't always work, sometimes the screen is completely black. . . Also the sensor that tells you that a car is too close to you keeps turning itself off and then when you check the radar sensor to make sure that it's clear of debris there's no debris but yet this thing just keeps turning itself off while you're on the highway or local road. . . I will list when the first problem started happening and then we know when the other ones start happening consecutively afterwards. . Electrical issue front passenger door will not open automatically putting my passenger at risk.

Nhtsa online complaint vehicle: 2019 Nissan Altima VIN: [xxx] recall: r25b1 (NHTSA recall no. 25v-437) description of the problem: my vehicle is affected by recall r25b1 (NHTSA recall no. 25v-437) related to potential bearing failures in the 2. 0l vc-turbo engine. Nissan announced this recall on June 26, 2025, but the status remains “incomplete – remedy not yet available. ” I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs and local dealerships several times, but they confirmed that there is no repair or parts available. Due to this unresolved safety recall, my state’s dmv has refused to register my vehicle, meaning I cannot legally operate it. This delay has caused significant hardship and prevents me from using my vehicle, even though the recall involves a critical safety risk (potential engine failure while driving). I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and require Nissan to expedite a remedy for recall r25b1. I need a car urgently to drive to work. The headlights are very bad and have to basically drive with the high beams on in order to see because on low beam I almost ran someone over I changed the bulbs a few times but it has not improved any and while changing them that it seems as the bulb burnt something. I have been on the Nissan forums and theres many complaints saying that Nissan knows something is faulty and they refuse to recall and fix it.

Without warning, both sideview mirrors, plus the blindspot warning system began to not work. Mirror adjustments failed to work on both sides and also the blindspot warning light stopped working when a vehicle would pass. I proceeded to take my vehicle to regal Nissan, inc. , located at 1090 holcomb bridge road, roswell, georgia 30076, 770-998-8686 on December 19, 2023 at approximately 2:00pm, and was told by the service advisor, deandre gaines that they would not be able to look at it as the day was almost over and he scheduled an appointment for December 20, 2023 at 9:00am. Today, December 20, 2023, I attended my appointment arriving approximately 9:09am and spoke with deandre gaines. He told me that they would do a diagnostic check to find out what was causing this. I asked if the diagnostic check would be just for my arm rest where the control was or did he mean for the whole car, and he said no not the whole car only the arm rest, and he never stated the price. I told him that I would wait on the car, and proceeded to their customer waiting room. Once they were done, they tell me that the cost would be $175. 88!!! I asked for what??? he tells me that because I have 39,747 miles and it is outside the the 36,000 mile warranty that this is what it cost for a diagnostic. I said, you never said the price!!! I had no idea that it would cost this much just for you to tell me this. He strong-armed me on the price. I then asked to speak to his manager (which I did not get his name) and the manager then said the same thing. I was so frustrated at how I strong-armed on this price. Deandre never stated the price. This is border line exhortation. He took my freedom away as a georgia consumer by giving the price after the fact and not telling me the price before hand. This would not have been an issue if he had told me the price beforehand, as I would have had the choice to say yes or no. If additional documentation is needed, please let me know. I went to stop at a stop sign and the breaks didn’t not work causing a collision, prior to I heard a loud clinking noise and my car smelled like burning rubber. Blind spot didn’t not light up accurately or notify me correctly.

Was driving then noticed car made awkward movements the steering wheel started to turn sideways. Blind spot warning light then came on. I pulled car off street into safe area then noticed rear driver side wheel caved in and rear lower controll bar broken.

Hood flew opened while driving.

My 2017 Altima had been jerking, almost felt like the transmission was slipping. This would occur at random acceleration causing the vehicle to stall for brief seconds before it would actually accelerate. On top of that vehicle has now started a loud wining sound that gets louder when trying to accelerate. The car will not move for several seconds and then gradually it will begin to take off. This happens at every stop or slow down made. My cruise control no longer works either. Several times in the past I had issues with the vehicle not wanting to shift out of first gear. Since then this is what has occured. At this point I can no longer drive the vehicle due to no acceleration and im afraid that I might cause an accident due to extremely slow if not any take off from any stop. I am very upset over this issue considering everything I have read up on all leads back to the cvt transmission problems from several other owners, and the fact that several recalls have been made due to this, but for some reason not the 2017 Altima? it is apparent to me that this year has also been affected. I am a single mother and can't afford another exspince at this time especially since I lost my job due to covid-19. Now I am unemployed and cant drive my car due to transmission problems that obviously seems to be a reaccuring problem for Nissans with the cvt transmissions.

I've owned my ultima for approximately 9 years the dashboard is melting and cracking causing poor visibility, glares, melting dashboard with cracks causing wires to be exposed to hot heat and sun.

The headlights has a recall but the dealership told me if the previous owner didn't fix it, it didn't do me any justice. I have to drive with bright lights on at night because the headlights are pointed at the ground but not up ahead to see what's in front of me. It's very hard to see. I haven't had the car a year and I really love my car. The $1,600 to fix, is what the nissian dealership in my town quoted me. I am a single mom with elementary aged kids, driving them to school, it's still little dark.
