1 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2014

While driving the 09 Nissan Cube at 75 mph on a highway the vehicle experienced sudden deceleration and turned itself off in the midst of heavy semi truck traffic. Had the vehicle towed to the local dealership who could not replicate the problem. Car returned to the owner and after approximentally forty more miles of driving the problem occured again three more times before the owner was able to locate a cell signal and be towed over 150 miles to the next closest dealership. That dealership was unable to determine what had happened and the vehicle is now in the process of being shipped back to the owners home state. The total lack of acceleration while at highway speeds has put the owner and his family in four seriously dangerous and life threatening breakdowns on major highways and the owner has had no help from Nissan in determining how and why this happens. Everything from "your car is not use to being in the desert, to it is a mysterious drive by wire issue, to maybe your fuel pump is shot, and you need to use a higher octane fuel has been thrown out. The owner and spouse will not drive this vehicle until there is a solution due the very real possibilty they may be killed if they lose acceleration again.
