Four problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1998 Nissan Frontier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
No deployment of driver and passenger air bags during vehicle collision. Yh.
Driving at approximately 20-25 mph, drove over slight dip when dual airbags deployed without hitting anything or without warning, causing injuries and burns.
While driving at 50mph on freeway rear ended another vehicle that cut in front of truck, neither airbag deployed in accident, no injuries. Dealer contacted and is aware of incident. Will look at vehicle upon arrival.
While driving at 55 mph transfer case locked up, causing the rear end to lock up. Vehicle slid out of control, went off the road into a ditch, and hit a fence. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Dealer has been contacted.
