Suspension Torsion Bar problems of the 1998 Nissan Frontier

Three problems related to suspension torsion bar have been reported for the 1998 Nissan Frontier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Suspension Torsion Bar problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2001

There was a sway bar link that was felled in front suspension. When this happened there was a lot of vibration,and rattling when going over bumps.

2 Suspension Torsion Bar problem

Failure Date: 07/02/1999

Front torsion bar linkage bushings do not have washers on top to retain them in place. This allows the bushing to be shoved over the top of the retaining nut resulting in the total failure of the bushing.

3 Suspension Torsion Bar problem

Failure Date: 12/21/1998
