Vehicle was involved in an accident of an impact of 35-40 mph; both air bags failed to deploy, and driver's side seat belt failed to lock into place. Front passenger received minor injuries. Dealer notified.
I am looking for information concerning the safety of the rear fold down jump seats found in the Nissan Frontier extended cab. I cannot believe that these seats meet any safety standards for transporting childeren. They are equipped with only lap belts and research I have done states that pickup trucks do not have to meet the same passenger safety standards that passenger cars do. I would appreciate any additional information.
