The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier equip with an aftermarket angel view rearview mirror from bulbhead. Com, p/n: l22-1722. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle and closing the front driver’s side door, the glass mirror detached from the mirror housing and fell to the floor of the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure.
2006 Nissan Frontier transmission failing due to engine coolant and transmission fluid mixing. Truck started jerking at times just cruising usually between 40 and 50 mph then worse. Coolant reservoir and radiator was noticed in components. Took it to dealership and gave me a price of 5300 to replace radiator and transmission and flush all systems. I had been reading reviews on these models and was hoping this wasn't the issue on mine. As soon as I noticed the fluid contamination I was sick. Had no idea of this problem. Alot of reviews say steer clear of these vehicles. This Frontier is my 3rd owned Nissan vehicle. Never again!!!!!!!!.
Tcm for Nissan truck Frontier 2006 v6 le is malfunctioning. When I am driving it jumps to another gear like 3 gear. It shifts by itself as if I was carrying a large load. It losses power in the middle of the road with nosings.
Transmission problem coolant mix with oil.
Vehicle's coolant is leaking into transmission, causing erratic shifting while driving. I'm told the transmission will eventually fail while driving.
I purchased a 2006 Nissan Frontier 4x4 truck on 7/28/15 and have since discovered it had serious transmission problems. I took it into Nissan of tacoma to be looked at and was told that this is a problem that Nissan knows about so they will pay all but $3000 of the repairs. I was told this was an inherent problem with this model and others made by Nissan and Nissan has since changed how they built their cars. I have been told I can only drive it semi safely around town, no going over the mountains and absolutely no towing with it which is why I bought this truck, to tow my trailer. I am a disabled senior on a fixed income and have no extra money to fix much less buy a new vehicle. I owe around $27000. On it and went as far as to buy an extended warranty which will not cover these issues. I do not understand why if this is that big of a problem it has not been recalled. This vehicle has 7 other recalls per you website so this becomes a real problem.
Recently my 2006 Nissan Frontier transmission started to make a grinding noise at speeds when shifting to a lower gear. I checked the computer about possible problems; that is when I found out about the transmission lines failing inside of the radiator. The water was leaking into my transmission. Nissan and the dealership that I was getting my truck serviced knew of the problem for many years. When I asked the service adviser about the problem, he told me my Frontier had 7,000 over 100,000 miles and that was the cutoff for Nissan to help. What made me mad was that I had my 90,000 mile service done at the dealership on 01/28/2014 , paid $523. 38 and nothing was told to me so I could take action to save my transmission!!! I should had been told of the defective transmission lines before it ruined my trans. Now I am out $3,228. 78 for a rebuilt transmission. They knew I had the Frontier, why didn't they tell me of the defective transmission lines. . . I don't understand. . .
Radiator developed leak and leaked antifreeze into transmission. Destroyed transmission. Had to have total rebuild on transmission and new radiator installed. Transmission fluid was bleeding back into radiator. Contacted 2 different Nissan dealers when it first started. They assured me Nissan was not having any radiator problems. Told me to check u-joints and drive line. Said it would be very hard to find problem since service engine light was not coming on. A friend recommended a mechanic and he knew exactly what was wrong. Big bucks to fix.
I bought a 2006 nissian truck from gary mathew nissian last year,I was told it was check out and in good running shape I am a 65 year old recent widow no oe said nothing about a defective transmission cooler that could cause the transmission to fail or that it was factory caused problem that could occure. Last week I was driving it it kepf showing 4x4 and service engine soon in dash it would lose power to point it would not move until it sit a few minutesw . I carried it it next day the said it was a lose cable, went home it did same thing several times and lost power on road in traffic,to point it didn't want to move I went to dealer right then. Well they came out with a cost paper to fix it $ 5300. 00 I just sit there couldn't figure how a truck I just got could of tore up I take care of my stuff ,includinf my cars check fluids all I can do, well then a car sales man said maybe better to trade, after hours of this and me not able to trade couldn't afford the 5300 much less in dept 18,000 for another used truck with 90,000 miles on it, I told them to fix it, I'd try borrow money,I was also told may get help from nissian but looked at their extended warrenty only up to 80,000 miles on the transmission thing. We have had nissian or datsuns too that had over 200,000 miles on them and did fine right up to being replaced, thats why I got my truck, nissian knew about this problem and knew it would happen, so I am hoping nissian will help me pay for fixing their mess up. I like nissians thru years my husband and I had lots of them now I am alone and look what someone elses mistake is costing me I have to middle of week to come up with this money for someone elses mistake. . Step up nissian fix your mistake . T. J. Swaw in TN> ya I put my name this is the truth I need help.
The transmission is failing at only 75,000 miles. I had the radiator replaced after a brief overheating issue. There was a brown like puddy that began to develop in the vehicle's system at that point and a sluggish transmission, stalling and failing requiring constant restarting and constant sitting and repair costs for the vehicle.
The radiator coolant drained into the transmission cousing the transmission to break down. According to my mechanic this was due to a diffect on the manufacture of the radiator, my truck, in this case is a 2006 Nissan Frontier. The total amount I had to pay for the repairs was $3963. 08. Nissan should be accountable and responsible for this issue in this trucks.
My friend and I were traveling on the I-40e in new mexico. He was driving my truck and feel asleep at the wheel. He woke up and oversteered and caused us to crash my truck into the right side highway ditch at about 70 miles per hour. We hit first with the front right of my truck and then tumbled 3 times smashing all sides of the truck especially the front. We had our seat belts on so we weren't ejected, but air bags never deployed. My dog was in the backseat of the 4 door truck and was ejected and died shortly after. I sustained several injuries to my face, head, arms, shoulders, and back.
Antifreeze in the transmission and transmission fluid in the radiator.
Transmission blew due to radiator fluid leaking into transmission. Known problem by Nissan, yet no recall issued and deadline to be part of class action lawsuit has passed.
While driving, the truck stalled on a hill due to transmission failure. Truck began rolling backwards into traffic. Transmission failure was caused by radiator coolant leaking into transmission. This is a known issue by Nissan, and a safety concern.
I had just parked my truck in my driveway(truck was off,key was removed) when I removed two bags from the back seat area(the seat was where it all ways is) I walked in the kittchen area put the bags on the table,as I was walking back to my truck I seen the truck roll back about a foot or 2 then stop. There wasn't any snow or ice on my driveway,no black ice eather the temp around 45,sun shinning. I did see my truck roll this is the god's truth. If I would have under the truckfor any reason I my not be here telling you this. I do not us my parking break I never us it,the trans, locks when you put it in park. The time of day was 1pm this the frist I have seen this.
Vehicle began to shift upward and downward erratically at various speeds and rpm. It would also shake and shudder like the whole vehicle was on a rocky road -- everything vibrating from the frame to the steering wheel. Very sudden, alarming, and disconcerting.
Vehicle ran hot, was towed to dealership. Needed a new radiator transmission fluid mixing with antifreeze.
The transmission stopped and my vehicle would not go faster than 2 mph. I could not get it uphill. I had to have it towed. It was constantly jumping forward prior to this incident. On the highway it felt like it couldn't get out of gear.
While driving at 40-45 mph I would get a very loud harsh vibration that felt similar to driving over one of the warning strips on side of hiways warning you you're going off road. It also eventuall would barely move from a stop at a traffic light. Took it to local transmission repair shop that informed me the coolant from radiator leaked into trans causing the failure. Looks like I'm getting a new trans and radiator. Nissan needs to recall and reimburse all these ppl spending thousands on what is obviously a factory defect. I see complaint after complaint of the exact problem I am having. Thanks a good luck to everyone. Hopefully Nissan does the right thing.
I am submitting this to have written documentation about a safety issue with my 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab 4x4 I purchased on 08/04/2009 from ken harvey's dublin Nissan in dublin, CA. The truck is also a "certified pre-owned Nissan". I was towing my boat down I-880 on 8/20/2009 at 55mph when all of a sudden the ball that holds the tongue of the boat trailer to the tow hitch snapped causing the boat to come up on one wheel, swerve, and cause damage to the back of the truck. It was being towed at the speed limit under normal driving conditions. Luckily this incident did not cause a major accident or major damage to my boat or truck. This statement is two fold. 1) I have gotten zero response from ken harvey's dublin Nissan. I called within and hour of the incident to inquire as to what could be done. The truck is under a bumper to bumper warranty until 9/4/2009. The tow hitch and ball are both Nissan products and installed by a dealership. The sales and service representatives have been unhelpful at best. They have failed to give me any answers or return any of my phone calls until 8/31/09 when after I left the truck at the dealership they told me they would do nothing to replace the broken part or repair the damage since I didn't go running up and down a freeway to find the part of the bolt that broke. I was told that since I didn't have the part that broke off I couldn't prove that it broke although I still have the top part of the ball since it was still in the tongue of the boat. I would like Nissan to be aware of this safety issue - as the incident could have been tragic.
