The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that there was a drastic delay upon pressing the accelerator pedal. Three to five seconds later, the vehicle surged forward with a high rate of speed without warning. The contact indicated that the failure was getting progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer more than once and they were not able to diagnose and replicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure several times and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

I was driving in a parking lot approximately 15 20 miles per hour, I applied the break to slow down to an appropriate speed in order to go around a corner, the truck then accelerated causing me to jump the curb and hit the mail boxes. The truck accelerated to approx. 30-40 mph.
