Transmission on my 2010 Nissan gtr failed at 40,138 miles. Nissan wants me to pay 18,000 to replace the transmission. Stated that they don't repair them. Car would not go into reverse or forward gears after normal driving. Nissan charged me 1034. 00 dollars to look to see if they could identify the issue. No details included in the accessment but was informed that the transmission needed to be replace and it would cost ofer $18000. 00 to replace. The transmission only has 40,138 miles on it and was having issues at 37000 miles.
Car woudl not go into reverse or forward gear after starting the engine. Stationary took the car to the dealer for repair and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of $18,000 this vehicle has less than 50,000 miles on it.
Vehicle would not accelerate no power this could be linked to transmission issues had to pull over and restart the car at which point if seemed to clear the problem. After we added fuel if the vehicle gets down to a quarter of a tank problems start to happen gauge indicated that 64 miles of gas remained in the tank but the problem still took place moving at a speed of 45 miles an hour in rush hour traffice vehicle also stopped and could not be started when this took place.
Shifting from 3rd gear to 4th gear, under acceleration, transmission then let go. I was able to coast to a stop on the side of the road. I no longer had gears 2-4-6. Called a tow truck.
