Car was running, no prior issues. Shut off car, returned a few hours later and it would not start. Everything else worked, but wouldn't attempt to turn over. Was -18 at night with my young kids in rural nowhere. Came back next day with tow, and it started. Replaced cruise and brake module per suggestions. Ran fine for another few weeks, then repeated the issue. Replaced battery with agm battery. Started. Next day it happened again, once I got to work. Towed it home. Reprogramed keys. Nothing. Replaced starter. A few days later it started. After a month, it sputtered out after starting, then would not start (inside garage). Later that day, it started. Inspected by Nissan and various mechanics. No warning lights. Ran diagnostics and nothing. I absolutely hate the unpredictability but like my vehicle, but not enough to leave my kids and I stranded; especially in the cold winter.

While parked in our driveway for more than 30 hrs, my 2013 Juke burst into flames. The fire dept did not find any evidence of arson or tampering and there was no weather occurrence to explain why it became engulfed in flames. The fire started in the engine compartment at 12:40am. Nissan has said that they examined the car and their technical specialist found " no evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfunction that may have caused or contributed to this incident". Nissan will not tell me why the car burned up, just they're not responsible. Why would a low milage, well maintained vehicle catch fire unless there was some kind of product failure? I was lucky that only property was damaged but I feel Nissan USA is not taking the incident seriously.
My Nissan Juke 2013 is having electrical problems. I brought it to gerald Nissan in naperville, IL and they told me the ipdm needed to be replaced for $1,100. 00 and they still weren't sure it would fix the problem. The vehicle won't start sometimes, it stays while driving (very scary). It over heated once because a signal wasn't sent to the fan. I've noticed this is I big complaint issue with Nissan. Is there a recall on such a problem. I can't even drive the car the way it is because I never know what's going to happen next. Joe.
