On August 5, 2026, an authorized Nissan dealer performed safety recall pma66 / NHTSA 26v-331 on my 2025 Nissan Kicks sr. The vehicle’s combination meter/instrument cluster had been functioning normally before the recall. During the recall software update, the programming failed and the original combination meter became unrecoverable. After consultation with Nissan techline, Nissan authorized replacement of the combination meter. The replacement meter was installed and the vehicle was returned on August 11, 2026. Immediately afterward, several new problems were discovered that did not exist before the recall repair: vehicle speed is displayed in km/h instead of mph even though u. S. /miles units are selected; the tpms/tire-pressure information screen is missing; the lane-assistance/driver-assistance information screen is missing; and traffic sign recognition no longer displays detected speed-limit signs. Additional affected functions may not yet have been identified. These conditions were reported to the dealer and Nissan consumer affairs. Nissan consumer affairs advised on August 21 that the recall/remedy is under review, that there is currently no approved repair procedure and no estimated timeline, and that it could neither confirm nor deny whether the vehicle is safe to drive. The vehicle is available for inspection. No crash, fire, injury, or death has occurred. I am reporting this because a safety-recall repair failed, the Nissan-authorized replacement introduced new incorrect or missing safety-related display functions, and Nissan currently has no approved procedure to restore the vehicle.
I received a recall notice on my 2025 Nissan Kicks. I took my vehicle to the dealer where I purchased it to get the recall repaired on 8/7/2026. The repair was quoted to be completed within 2 hours. After 5 hours the repairs were not completed and my vehicle is inoperable. I was provided a loaner car to use while my vehicle is there. I have kept in contact with the manufacturer (called on 8/14/26) and the dealer over the last two weeks. I have not been provided much information other than my car is inoperable and that there are several other Nissan Kicks that are in the same condition. I was told by the Nissan company that their engineers will have to come up with a fix and that I need to contact the dealer for further information. I have been over two weeks without my vehicle and still have no answers. My car was working fine when it was taken in for the recall repaired, now my vehicle is at the dealership and not running at all.
My family and I departed the dealership around 7:27 pm with our 2025 Nissan Kicks that only had 4,500 miles on it. My step son and I were driving the new car home. We got maybe a mile from our house and I heard a small pop and started smelling gas really bad. Once we pulled onto our road I heard another pop, all of the lights came on the dash and a bunch of white smoke came from the hood of the car. I put the car in park and turned the engine off and got me and my step son out to the car. We went into the field next to the car and as soon as we crossed the road, there were flames coming out of the hood.
The contact owns a 2025 Nissan kick. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v188000 (equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that the remedy parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Blind spot warning does not come on until the vehicle is past you, and the display screen that has your speed and everything else on it is fading again, this is the second screen they have had to put in my car. And the steering wheel moves when it is in the locked position you will be driving down the road and then out of know where the steering wheel will just start moving without being unlocked.

Dear mr / madam I purchased a brand-new Nissan SUV on January 13, 2025, but I have encountered serious quality issues since the day I took delivery of the vehicle. The specific problems are as follows: wiper washer malfunction: on the day of delivery, I discovered that the vehicle's wiper washer system was faulty. The washer fluid was frozen, making it unusable. Front windshield crack: on January 28, 2025, I noticed a curved crack approximately 7 to 8 inches long on the inside of the front windshield, directly in the driver's field of vision. This crack is clearly visible in sunlight, and when touching the interior side of the glass, it can be distinctly felt. At that time, the vehicle's mileage was 364 miles. After inspection, it was confirmed that the vehicle had not been involved in any collisions. I reported this issue to Nissan sales on February 1, 2025. Nissan company conducted an inspection, confirmed the presence of the crack, and stated that the vehicle had not experienced any impact. However, nearly a month has passed, and Nissan has yet to provide a clear resolution. I am deeply concerned about whether this crack poses a safety risk while driving, particularly whether the windshield might shatter unexpectedly during operation. I do not know if this constitutes a serious safety hazard, nor can I determine whether the glass will suddenly break in the future. This uncertainty is causing me significant anxiety. Since Nissan has not yet provided a timely solution, I feel compelled to formally lodge this complaint with NHTSA. I sincerely hope that Nissan will promptly address this issue and provide an appropriate resolution. Thank you! sincerely,.
To the new york city department of transportation (dot): I picked up a new car on January 11, and on January 28, I discovered a 10-inch crack on the inside of the front windshield. On February 1, I took the vehicle to a Nissan service center for inspection, and they confirmed the presence of another crack. As a vehicle manufacturer, Nissan should have the professional equipment necessary to inspect the windshield for cracks. However, since I filed my complaint with Nissan on February 1, it has now been over 20 days, and I have yet to receive any resolution or formal response. I cannot help but wonder—is Nissan intentionally delaying this matter to avoid responsibility? if Nissan does not have the proper inspection equipment, I propose that the new york state department of motor vehicles (nysdmv) conduct an official inspection to determine the facts. Additionally, on the morning after I picked up the car on January 11 I found that the windshield washer fluid was not spraying. Upon checking, I discovered that the washer fluid reservoir was completely frozen. When I reported this issue to the Nissan sales staff, I was told, “Nissan’s washer fluid is like this—it will work once the car warms up. ” this response is unacceptable. Is this really the standard for delivering a new Nissan vehicle? I am filing this complaint with dot today because I am deeply concerned about the safety risks posed by the cracked windshield. In addition to the initial crack, I have now discovered another crack about 2 inches long near the first one. If this issue is not resolved promptly, it could pose a serious safety hazard. I urge dot to take this matter seriously and push Nissan to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure consumer safety, preventing any potential accidents. I appreciate dot’s attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Thank you.
