Car stalls at red lights and the engine turns off with no warning. After, car turns back on and has rough idle and flashes all lights on the dashboard. Went to Nissan dealership and it’s an issue with the mass airflow sensor and throttle body. Coincidentally, the issues arise after the warranty period. Expensive fix and safety issues for city driving.

The contact shift the gear into neutral and the vehicle started operating normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The transmission sliipped so bad that it lurched me forward and almost to stand still traffic ! I nearly hit oil tanker I was. Able to get the vehicle safely off the road the check engine light came and I was barely able to get it in the parking lot !! this car is dangerous I have always been afriad to take it to dealership because service departments are trained to scam customer I have had regular maintaince on it since I have had it. Nissan fails to acknowledge that they make crappy cars!!.

When attempting to shift the car out of park whenever it is parked on an incline, it is difficult to move the shifter out of park and when it does it klangs/bangs loudly. I have taken the car back to the dealership and they tested and confirmed the problem and said they know about this from others but Nissan has not addressed it and currently there is no service bulletin or fix. They suggested applying the e-brake before shifting into park when shutting off the engine and then reversing the procedure when restarting. This did not work. I am worried this will damage the transmission and possibly fail to hold the car while parked on a slope. There are no lights or codes active.

Car acceleration delayed. Batteries dying and needing replaced regularly. Needs constant jump starts. Will not accelerate or move in the snow. Does not stop in emergencies. The vehicle was bought brand new and I have had bad luck with the Nissan Kicks 2020 since purchasing it.

A few weeks ago while I was driving 50mph on a completely dry hwy the slip indicator came on. I thought I accidentally hit traction control so I hit that button and then realized they we two different icons. Shortly after the slip indicator came on the screen popped up saying malfunction see owners manual. I pulled over where lights just started popping on and then my car died. After waiting 6 hours for a tow truck it was finally brought to the dealership. They did their inspection and said I needed a new alternator and they replaced that. Today 3 weeks later my car was parked. I was going to leave as my car was on and malfunction see owners manual and the slip indicator started popping on. I went to put it in reverse and could not press the peddles and gravity rolled me back. I then had to throw it into park to stop it. I turned off my car and same thing again. I turned it off again and restarted and it was fine. I took it back to the dealership and they are still trying to figure out what is going on. This is extremely dangerous especially it stopping when driving. Looks like I am not the only one having this problem.

While in reverse, the vehicle failed to shift into another gear. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was slow to accelerate. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who stated that the vehicle was working as designed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Randomly when driving I will have a malfunction see owner manual warning pop up it. Once I clear that to see the error I am getting the traction control and the indicator that looks like two cars colliding. While this is one the car does not have the power that it did before. If I stop and let the car sit for 10 to 15 minutes it mostly goes away but keeps the check engine light on for a couple days. The. The check engine light will go away and this will happen all over again. I bought the car used in may and it is having the same issue. I have had Nissan look at it as it is still under warranty but it seems to go away once I get it to the shop. They tell me nothing is wrong with the car. I have even took pictures of the indicators and they still say my Kicks is 100 functional.

When driving this 2019 Kicks s. The transmission will rumble on turns or starting to take off. The transmission also has a hard time changing gears when u get to the 3rd gear going about 35 - 40 mph. These new transmissions that Nissan is using really need to b recalled to fix these situations.

Entering highway or traffic car hesitates no power . Seems like the engine isnt providing enough gas for take off, this is with the pedal accelerator completely pressed down. This has happened several times. Scary when your entereing traffic. Had back to dealer once and said all was fine. It happens almost every time I drive it but not all the time mainly when you come to an almost stop and try to go. I looked on line for bullitins and came across classification at19-002d reference ntb19-040d.

Stopped in parking lot to back in parking space and car just shut off. Was able to restart and proceed with backing in spot. At another time I was sitting at traffic light and rpm's started to move below 1 and then shut off. Another time was when I stopped to let a passenger out of car and car just shutodf.

While exiting the freeway/slowing to stop at a light, my front collision light came on and no one was ahead of me. While still in motion my vehicles engine shut off and I had to pull the emergency brake to regain control of the vehicle. I put my foot on the break at the light and shifted the car from drive to park. Keeping my foot on the break started the engine with the push button which had trouble turning over and the dash lit up the following lights: master indicator, slip warning and automatic emergency breaking system warning. On the digital display it read something to do with emissions but went away before I could take the photo. When the light turned green I gave gas to the vehicle and it struggled to gain speed over 5 mph for over 1000 feet then went back to normal speeds and the other lights went off and only the check engine light came on and stayed on. The next day as I was pulling out of my driveway to take my vehicle to the dealer, my vehicle shut off again but no display this time, just completely shut off. I've also had issues with the center display and controls since I purchased a vehicle just over a year ago. The radio turns on and off on its own turn the volume up and down on its own which I can sometimes control from the steering wheel but never from the center. Even when using steering wheel controls the radio will do its own thing. So I could be driving with the radio off and it will be on full blast I turn it down with the steering wheel and it will go back to full blast. The very next day after the first incident listed I took my car to the dealership. As I left the radio proved to be not fixed. I immediately went to to fix it & was told a week for the part to come. I contacted corporate after investigation, they would not buy back my car which is just over a year old with 15,500 miles. No receipt given after replacing center consol.

The transmission in this car is a cvt and it pulls very bad and there is times that it smells like rubber is burning under the car people safety is put at risk because it could start a fire under there . And you could be driving in the freeway at a speed of 55 and suddenly the speed slows down to like 25 that it can make you almost get in to accident that's another way that your safety is at risk , there is a lot malfunctions with this transmission and they are aware of it , this should be a recall were they should be replacing these transmissions on these cars.
