Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 1997 Nissan Maxima

Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 1997 Nissan Maxima. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 06/08/1998

The right front strut was making a grinding noise & replaced strut, bearing, springs 6/8/98. Again the same noise occured, and the bearing was lubed and the control arms were tightened 8/31/98. Currently, the car is making the same noise and again various parts are on backorder and must be replaced by 1/26/98. Thank you for your help.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 04/14/1997

While driving the vehicle experienced premature front wheel lockup, causing extensive undercarriage damage, such as struds/control arm, etc.
