One problem related to tire sidewall has been reported for the 1998 Nissan Maxima. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Right front tire shows splits in sidewall. Tire to be replaced ASAP. Splits show up about 1/4 inch from rim ,with several splits within a six inch area. Each split about 1/2 inch to 1 inch wide. ( dot number: tire size: 215-55-16 ).
