Headlights problems of the 2000 Nissan Maxima

1 Headlights problem

Clouded headlight lenses that do not throw adequate light beams especially at night.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2005

The contact owns a 2000 Maxima gle that experienced a failure on the right passenger side headlight. The contact purchased a new bulb for the light. Upon installation of the new light bulb it was discovered that the bulbs plug was fused and burned in that particular headlight. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who noted the bulb could not be replaced because the bulb were connected to an electrical wiring harness that was connected to lighting within the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer has not been contacted at this point. Updated 11/29/2005. The consumer is concerned that this is a potential fire/safety hazard.

3 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 12/01/1999

Design of headlights cause poor visibility which may result in a crash. Dealer is aware of the problem, but has no solution. Please provide further information.

4 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 11/29/1999

When headlights are in use angle is very poor. Cannot see road very well. The high beams are too high when in use. Driver cannot see between high & low beams. Took vehicle to dealer & was informed it was designed like that.

5 Headlights problem

The regular lights shine at an angle. The high beams shine way too high. Visibility is dangerous.

6 Headlights problem

Head light does not give proper illumination due to the angle of the headlights.
