1 Structure problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2011

The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that the floor boards on the front half of the vehicle were rusted and corroded. The manufacturer was contacted and informed him to take the vehicle to the dealer for the repairs. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer who advised that the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer was contacted a second time and informed him to get an estimate on the repairs for possible assistance. The estimate was provided to the manufacturer but they offered no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired and a claim was filed with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 112,000.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2009

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima with 96,000 miles and the undercarriage floor board is rotting away. I take excellent care of all of my cars and the car looks brand new, never been in an accident and serviced through the local Nissan dealer for all work on it. I have had six Nissan Maximas (1987, 1990, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2009) and I've never had an issue like this. I live in the northeast but I always have. I think something was up with the quality and materials for the 2004 model.

3 Structure problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2006

I leased an 04' Nissan Maxima. Parts have fallen off the car. The fit and finish are horrible on the car. The hood is mis-aligned. I have two recalls on the car as of 3-10-06, there is a smell of condensation inside, and now water is leaking inside through the roof.

4 Structure problem

Failure Date: 03/31/2004

Vibration noise coming from sunroof area when sun shade is open, but sunroof glass is closed.

5 Structure problem

Failure Date: 01/30/2004

The car started up and was running fine. My wife went back into the house to get our daughter and found the car had stalled. The car has not started since. I am concerned about this situation, because of the fact that the car justed stalled for no apparent reason. I hate to think what could have happened if my wife was driving the car. In addition, according to several post on edmunds. Com this is happening to other consumers. I have had other problems with this car since I purchased it 3-12-03. It has been back to the dealership several times for the following reasons: service engine lights coming on, leaking sunroof, cd not working, a fog/condensation behind center console screen, and interior molding coming loose. I have called Nissan USA and spoke to matt at 310-771-8454 ext 8454. If you can help with this please contact me at 410-239-0119. Thank you for your time and efforts.
