I have the same symptoms with my airbag that the 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima has. The passenger side airbag will always turn off when my wife sits in the passenger seat.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 1,000 and the current mileage was 3,000.
The passenger side air bag does not activate with my wife in the seat. She is well over the 80 pound limit for activation. Seat was changed but did not change. Dealer service department says there is no fix. This is not acceptable.
