The seat bracket broke. Really a seat bracket that breaks from fatigue of entering and leaving the vehicle?!? safety concern sun visor no longer holds its position due to plastic that wears out. Safety issue. Transmission failure at just over 100,000 miles. Reports all over the web about this. So common, and so expensive. Major safety issue. Nissan has done nothing to address these issues that are so common with all of these models. It is not just me, there is report after report on the web. All the same issues.

3 Transmission Failure problem

The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the fuel sending unit failed on December 7, 2007. On December 22, 2007, while driving approximately 20 mph in cold weather, the vehicle stalled in traffic. Prior to the failure, the vehicle jerked. The vehicle restarted, but then stalled again. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but it would not accelerate above 20 mph. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they stated that the transmission failed. On January 9, 2008, while driving approximately 70 mph in dry conditions, the vehicle would not accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. As a result, the vehicle jerked forward and threw the contact into the steering wheel. The contact bruised her chest. The interior lights dimmed and the radio shut off temporarily. The vehicle continually lost power and would only shift into low gears. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they replaced the fuel pump on January 11, 2008. A few days later, the check engine light illuminated and she smelled a strange odor. The fuel gauge went from three quarters of a tank to a full tank. The speedometer began to display inaccurate readings and the vehicle began to lose power. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer on January 20, 2008 and they stated that the fuel sending unit failed again. The current mileage was 6,900 and failure mileage was 5,200.
