While driving, the rear arm connected to the rear driver-side wheel broke off. According to my Nissan dealership diagnosis, this was due to excessive rust/rot of the whole subframe. The 2013 Nissan Murano rear arm cannot re attach the wheel to the sub frame due to so much rust/rot on the sub frame. The whole subframe would need replacement. When doing an estimate on fixing, Nissan called and stopped the estimate when replacement of the subframe, fixing of the arm, and additional rust/replacement exceeded the value of the car. My son and I were driving on the road when the arm broke off the rear wheel, the wheel went sideways and we skidded to a stop, so our safety was at risk. There were no warning lights or signs of this happening. While driving on the road, my car felt unstable then seconds later the arm broke off. The car was at Nissan 4 months prior to have work done, I had them do a multipoint inspection when there was a problem/engine light with the vehicle and it would not go more than 15mph. Nissan fixed loose rf hub, plus they replaced a right and left front sway bar. This is right on the sub frame, there was no warning given to me that the sub frame was rusted or could give out.
At running time the car stop like if transmission disconected.
The sunroof exploded without any cause. It sounded like a bomb went off while driving on a highway.
Driver side visor keeps dropping down and obscuring my view.
Driver side sun visor keeps falling down in obscuring our view.
On 10/15/2018 my wife had called me to inform me that her 2013 Murano without any warning or check engine light coming on her engine cut completely off at 60 -65 mph while merging into the expressway had there been other cars around my wife would have wound up in a collision. Had other cars been at same speed coming behind her I'm afraid it would have been a bad accident, my wife fears driving this vehicle for this reason now. It was a complete shock to her for our great running vehicle to just shut off out of the blue no warning.
There was supposed to be a clip to hold the floor mats in place on the driver's side. Nissan dealer replaced it for free two years ago. They said it was a recall. The clip came off, and they told me they have to charge me for this recall item this time. The missing clip causes the driver's side floor mat to move under the gas and brake pedal, making it a hazard. The brake pedal can't engage properly, which could result in an accident.
The car was stationary I had my convertible top down. Upon putting it up . Right before it hits the windshield it slams down extremely hard on the windshield. Could cause bodily injury or damage to windshield. Or cause the top to break. Which mine did.
Paint problem. Nissan is having problems with white paint and transparent base according to paint shops. This one in particular is peeling the hood, quarter panels and now the roof. Nissan refused to fix it. Reedman dealership also refused my request.
The visor broke open on the backside somehow and. Ow the only positions it will work are completely unsafe as they obstruct my view. And living in arizona it is unsafe certain times a day when I cannot use my visor correctly to block the sun. The visor has only undergone regular use and just broke when attenpiing to bring it down for use one day.
The sun visor on the drivers side feel down as I was driving on the highway. It block my vision for a few seconds and almost made me crash into the car in front of me. Scarey.
Moonroof shattered while driving on highway, heard loud noise and broken glass fell into front console and seats. No other vehicles in close vicinity.
The back up camera on this vehicle is almost useless during the bright of day. Very cloudy, but works good in dark if there is a little light around. Been in other cars with great cameras. Other than the hard to get toyo tires on my car, I love this vehicle.
2012 which I previosly owned and 2013 Nissan Murano which they replaced has a antifreeze, smell coming from engine that they cannot seem to find and Nissan claims it is a normal smell and that we have to just deal with it.
I got this vehichle in April 2013 and complained 9 months later something wrong as I was driving down the street my husband and I smell something burning inside the truck. We begin to see smoke coming from the center console area between both seats. Neither my husband or I smoke, I contact Nissan concerning this matter many times and talk to mike the service manager and was told to bring it in. Where they kept the vehichle and on returning it to us was told that the vehicle was fix. Times before this I have call about the same problem and few time after this. I have spoke to someone in the service department and on the sale floor. My three grandchildren be in this vehicle 75% of the time and it is a safety problem and as of this date 8 Jan 2015 it is in the shop for the same problem been there since the 5 Jan 2015. Talk to ricky phan, general manage and mike, service manager. We can not ride this vehicle that seem to smoke all the time. So what are Nissan wait for a family of 6 to die in it. This vehicle is not 2 years old yet and before it was a year we had this problem. Been in the shop for the heater cuts off and on while driving without touching it, also back hatch problem that had to be replaces. To many problem to say this was a new vehicle.
